If she has some of Senju's chakra, then this whole thing would just suck. Also if she came from the Hidden Cloud village or whatever then how could she be a by-product of the First?
I actually thought Kushina's appearance was just a result of Naruto being consumed by the kyuubi's hate; the backstory and appearance of his mom were all just tools to try and break Naruto's spirit.

Also, nobody knows where the Senju are or if any didn't stay with Shodai and Nidai.. She may not be directly from Shodai himself but there could be a possibility she is Senju, however doubtful it may be. Either way something is special about her chakra, that has to do with Kyuubi, that isn't something any other of her family had. Just like Shodai.
My mistake about what village she came from. However its would still suck if she was Senju, because her chakra really would just gift wrap the kyuubi.
Now that I think about it, seeing as how she trapped the fox, I guess her appearance really can't be the fox's doing(which also bites). Naruto's going to have to do something soon whether he likes it or not because it really would suck if the most powerful force in the Narutoverse was taken over in a few chapters: the ten-tails is just speculation for now.
I do want to know how she was included in the seal. Minato's beast and all but its a mystery how he incorporated his wife into the jutsu.
Her being Senju makes perfect sense, explains why she can subdue the kyuubi, why she has special chakra, and why Naruto carries the "will of fire/senju". We don't know what the whirlpool was like, could have been right next to Konoha. She emigrated to Konoha, so no reason why earlier Senju family members couldn't have gone to Whirlpool.
If Naruto really does turn out to be a descendent from Senji, then that would just send this whole fight for dominance straight to hell. It does however raise up a question. Why can't Tsunade do all these weird sealing jutsus and whatnot seeing as how she's confirmed to be Senju(for the most part anyway)?
Assuming Kushina were Senju, it would also make Naruto and Sasuke's fight more symbolic.(I think)

I don't think she'll gift wrap it, at all. I don't even think the chains would last "forever", either. Just a few minutes. Just enough time to let Naruto and his mother talk a bit. And, by the end of the talk, Naruto was already up and at 'em, about to finish the job. So, I think it played out the way it should have.

I don't think it tasted like diabetes. It was really lacking in the cuteness to qualify as "tastes like diabetes", really. It wasn't even borderline. I wanted that meeting to span into a flashback for 4 chapters similar to Kakashi Gaiden. That would have been sweet:

Amongst the whole topic about Kushina being Senju and what-not I became really confused. The source of this confusions focuses on two questions:
1.How did her chakra get in the seal?
2. How did she die(if she's dead)
If Minato did the seal after Naruto was born, then she would be presumably dead, which means no chakra, right? Along with that, if the seal was done before Naruto's birth, how did Minato get a portion of Kushina's chakra to seal since he was in a forest and the death-seal would already be set? Although glad to see that Naruto finally knows his parents, I just want to know how Kushina got in the seal.
Sorry for being too wordy, I'm just really lost on that part.

1. Same way Minato's chakra was sealed into Naruto, most likely.
2. Kishi should soon reveal whether or not she's alive.
For all we know, Kushina, along with Minato, could have fought when the Fox attacked, which would explain how he got some of her chakra.
Naruto was already born when the Fox attacked. Minato managed to split the Fox's chakra into two halves, and seal one half into his son who was in Konoha.

Reread the chapter (I just did). You'll notice several things that you and I missed the first time around: NARUTO was the one that put out massive amounts of chains, not his mother. His mum only put out one while Naruto put out a bunch.
Also, it was his MOM that said that it wasn't the time to talk, which agrees with everyone that has been speaking out against that whole seen.
So, not only does his mom agree with you, Naruto was the one that did almost all of the "putting on hold".

It's kind 'o important to talk to your mom as much as possible if you've never seen her because she died when you were a weeee laddie.
'sides, Naruto has the Senju fire in his blood: there's no way that the Kyuubi would do jack for just a few minutes while B, Yamamoto, Kushina, and Naruto all beat down the Fox's chakra.

Yeah, it's good for quantifying that "something" that you can't quite put into words, that seems to have many series in common. "Tastes like diabetes" is quite clever, actually. One of the top 50 on Tropes, IMO.
