You know what, after careful consideration, I really hate Sasuke haters. Seriously, they are the most arrogant and crude fandom on the internet, more douchey than Anti Bella and Edward fans. It's like they fail to understand the character all because they don't like a character that was born to win at life even when he didn't deserve it. Or they had high expectations and failed to see anything special about him in the long run, either way, they are lamer than the character they despise, seriously it's just a drawing.

Except not really.

personally, i like and hate sasuke

I started to hate Sasuke less when I realized you were supposed to see him less like an Anti-Hero and more like that crazy guy sitting next to the dumpster.

Personally I just don't care for a character who gets handed all his power on a silver platter and doesn't have the redeeming quality of being awesome.

Even though he seemingly gets power-ups handed to him, he still has to learn how to control most of said power-ups.

So if he was awesome it would be fine?

Then you must not like the main character then. And it's not like he automatically masters them on the first try, he has to train like everybody else to hone the powers given to him.

Being awesome is subjective, he at least has that going for him when he's not getting his butt kicked.

I actually do not care for Naruto that much.

Dude, it took him like a day to master Susano. He mastered the Mangekyo in like a week.

Nah, not ossum.

^He's a genius. He's supposed to make stuff look easy.

Justification for Sueness does not make it better.

So just because Sasuke is portrayed as a genius and a over achiever(which is Kishimoto's parrelel theme to the main lead) he's a sue? If he was a sue, he'd never struggle in fights. A clear example of a sue is Itachi or Minato or Shikamaru who of all has been perfect examples of the flawless standards of the shinobi arts.

Flawless? Is that why Minato and Itachi are both dead, and Shikamaru has only won two out of the six fights he's ever been in?

Also, you dont understand what sue is.

Over achiever? He has not had to work for shit. 😐

Itachi is dead and needed help to kill the Itachi, Minato is also, you know, dead, and Shikamaru loses more often than not, he is very intelligent, but his other abilities are lacking. Also, don't care for any of them either.

Sasuke is a Sue. He's got the whole good looks, dark past, amazing competence, perpetual scowl, and is practically handed powers, all are trademarks of a Sue.

People ought to stop saying sasuke had everything handed to him. Other than EMS, everything had been gained by risk of death, and sasuke overcoming it.

Sharingan? Gained through sheer force of will to resist his brother's mangekyou.

Curse seal? Given to him, but at a ten percent chance of survival, and his body changed it and made it his own.

shirohebi no chikara? Gained from reversing the fushi tensei on orochimaru.

Mangekyou? Killed his brother for it.

Even though he has had more than a few supplementary jutsu, He constantly innovates them through REAL hard work. taking something you received and training your ass off.
His sharingan was great out of the package, but he tempered it through three years of training. He had manipulated the curse seal so well that the originator of the retrovirus had only met one other person out of THOUSANDS that could match him.
With the shirohebi form, he used orochimaru's gifts in ways that orochimaru didn't, and with the mangekyou, has consistantly gotten better and better each time he used it.

Hard work does not solely consist of physical work either (in which sasuke surpassed naruto GREATLY), but also challenging the limits of one's own mind, and surpassing the boundries of ones own creativity, knowledge and imagination. something naruto rarely does since it tends to give him brainhurt.

PS😖hika has never lost a fight. He's always come through. He's the definition of the word sue(Super Smart, Super Clever, the authors love, and is a pimp with 3 girls(Sasuke lost his) and Itachi has every one of Sasuke's traits and has been technically undefeated in battle.

Dead? What does tht have to do with anything, whether there alive of dead(or in their case, they killed themselves to save people they love sueish style), they're feats when they were alive were known as godly and unparrelelled. They're personalities were suiesh, they had sueish hype, they even had sueish deaths. They were known "by characters and authors" as the best shinobis who ever lived and were flawless.

Shikamaru beat his enemies and not had gotten a single scratch on him. He beat Hidan in the most sueish way possible, by not getting touched. He's a the perfect guy, super smart, super confident, clever, he even achieved his revenge before Sasuke. He's everything Sasuke isn't, he's sane and barely emo.

Sasuke is everything but a sue, he's a wesley and a draco malfoy type. He's struggled, he's lost, he's been humilated, he's insane and manipulated, he's been a whole bunch of flaws.

1. Super dooper boring invincible hero/villain/whatever amirite?

2. You mean gained on the spur of the moment, without having to actually work for it? Good to know.

3. Still handed to him, and you could not show me him ever really training the Cursed Seal, which was given to him, without any effort on his part.

4. Not only do I not know what that is, neither does the Naruto wiki. Elaborate.

5. I think you mean his brother let him kill him for it. 😐

6. Like... What? His Susano developed in like three days, he was seemingly able to do Tsukiyomi instantly, Amaterasu as well.

Sharingan evolves with use, no real training, he just needs to use it more often.

He has had two training events in the series, running up the tree, and training for the Chidori. That was it.

Your highlighting of Sasuke's amazing competence only furthers his Sue status.

Lol wut? Naruto did the equivelant of Sasuke's only real training occurrences, he trained with him to run up trees and trained for Rasengan right after Sasuke learned Chidori, trained to add Wind Element to his Rasengan, and trained for Sage Mode. Sasuke is handed new powerups on a silver platter. Also, Sasuke has like, one other use for Chidori. Naruto has developed many for Rasengan, including a ranged version.

Shika a sue? Although he could have beaten Temari, he forfeited because he lacked the chakra to continue, since that one fight spent him. He outright lost against Tayuya, he had to be rescued by Temari. He was also unable to save his sensei, and needed alot of prep to fight Hidan and win. He has not lost most of his fights, but he has not won all of them either. Also, Sasuke is confirmed to be Kishi's favorite character. Dun't give a shit about Itachi, but being really powerful alone does not qualify one for a Sue.

Do you know what a sue is?

A dark and troubled past is quality Sue material.

Also, Wesley, assuming you are talking about the Star Trek one, was HATED for his Sue faggotry.

So by your logic, Naruto's a sue as well? Sasuke is just a badly written character with a extreme emphasis on darkness and edgey, Kishimoto even said he never planned for Sasuke to be in the manga, he just winged it so Naruto can have an ideal rival.

Not sueish to me, dark and troubled backstories can be very well executed if it's written professionally. I mean Kratos for one is an example of Sasuke's trope.

Wesley was hated because he was a pussy and a totally bad character.

Not every character with a dark and troubled past is a sue, and vice versa. Naruto could be considered some kind of ****** Purity Sue now though. Mary Sues generally are due to bad writing. 🙂

Sure, they CAN be, but when meshed with all of Sasuke's shit it comes off rather Suish, good looking, well-liked and respected by peers, amazingly competent, writer's favorite character, plus all the delicious Wangst.

And also saved t3h day with his uber competence, if I recall right.
