He was defending himself and his siblings pretty well in a method that resembled the auto-shield (Sasuke seemed to think he still had his ultimate defense), and he can do a solid sand sphere or flight.
Plus he does always have the tactic of crushing some ground into more sand.
I'd think his larger problem would be in offense against Raikage, hitting him well enough to get a grab would be very tricky.
Id say raikage would defninitely be too fast for gaara, and given that he can use his lightning in a slicing/piercing manner akin to sasukes chidori(+the fact that he is super strong and superfast which logically should increase the potency of the attack), he should be capable of penetrating the sand defense and landing clean on gaara which is really all he would need.

You can TK an object that weighs exactly 100kg (that's about what my mass is). You should then be able to TK yourself just the same as that object.

Agreed. To have taken charge in such circumstances, coming off the Bloody Mist era, requires a certain strength and ruthlessness.Especially since we know Kekkei genkai users suffered discrimination.
Though a lot of that was her psychological weakness (which she's since beaten), and he used drugs to amp himself up to have a speed edge.
I'm guessing she was holding back because she knew she'd have to deal with the more fearsome Orochimaru next. She didn't really use any big jutsu on him, Tsunade seemed to think him a foe that could be dealt with purely by taijutsu instead of pulling out the stops like she did against Orochi (activate the regen technique and those scalpels become nigh useless), and that nervous system chop would've finished most ninja too.
Jiraiya's stronger, but Tsunade's still quite fearsome.
I think Tsuchikage might be the current weakest due to age.
Didn't Jiraiya say her healing abilities were decisive in the Second Ninja World War? Tsunade strikes me as having the best strategic talents, that Katsuyu jutsu she used during the Pain invasion could clearly turn a major battle, providing both into and healing to a huge force.
Kabuto was beating her without that though, and easily. And Kabuto just used a normal soldier pill. It wouldn't have put him anywhere close to being able to take Jiraiya or Orochimaru. I just wish Tsunade would get a chance to show something besides healing and strength. Against Pein she had no choice but to heal, and not fight though. But with the war coming up, Hokage can't sit back and do nothing so maybe we'll get to see her, and the other Kage's get a full blown fight now that the Akatsuki is back also.
Whatever chakra Tsuchikage probably lost from his days of youth, he probably makes up for with deadly techniques and skills. Chakra size really doesn't mean strength anyway. Though he does like to try and make himself seem better than Gaara because Gaara is just a kid....

Hebi Sasuke was nearly as awesome as Gaara. uhuhAhh, true true. Also, we didn't see everything she could do. She can use Boil and Lava Release, in addition to Fire, Earth & Water jutsu. Looks like she is an element specialist. A better one than Kakashi most likely. She should have had the Sharingan, then she'd be uber.

If Miss Slug Princess'd just summon Katsuyu she'd win easily, or used her regen, so it's not like Tsunade didn't have "I Win"s for that fight. I think she knew he could only keep dodging for a short time before the speed boost of the pill ran out and was planning to outlast him.
By the stats, she's noticeably better at him at taijutsu, and she was able to land hits on Orochimaru easier than she was on him, so I think while taijutsu's not his speciality Kabuto has really good evasion skills.
It's probably only because he had chakra scalpels that allowed inflicting damage with a light touch (thus he didn't have to commit himself as deeply as a full hit would. Sorta like hyuuga gentle fist) combined with the speed boost that he was able to inflict damage like that. Victory was still fairly inevitable for her though, she could heal his cuts all day while one punch would end him.

I will admit that part of the reason I back her is I'm a sannin fan- every time we've seen any of them fight they always pull out a new trumpcard or jutsu that we haven't seen even in their prior high-level fights, without exception. So even when they perform less well, it's usually due to circumstances and they still have other big jutsu in their arsenals.
But with the war coming up, Hokage can't sit back and do nothing so maybe we'll get to see her, and the other Kage's get a full blown fight now that the Akatsuki is back also.

He's probably the most skilled, but just as Hiruzen wasn't as good as his prime, the same decrease likely applies, not just chakra but physical strength and speed. Cunning and techniques learned with time no doubt help somewhat but he's still likely overall declined in power.
