Saru comes off as a good grandparent; slight difference but not by much. Another question. Who the heck raise Naruto? Surely they didn't just let him grow up in an apartment building all his life. The village didn't even acknowledge him as the son of a hero which sucks; also contradicting Tsunade's childhood somewhat.
I wonder if anybody but the Sannin, Saru, and Kakashi even know that Naruto is Minato's son.

Probably the presence of Uzumaki sealers (using the jutsu Kushina is right now, only while not half-dead), lots of prep and more controlled conditions, and possibly Hashirama.
It might be the Kyuubi has never been free between the time of Hashirama until today. They just passed it from Mito to Kushina without a release in between.
This is a wild Kyuubi on a rampage that isn't under the effect of any restraints to start out with.

Why not? She was buddies with Sasuke's mom and they already had decided on a name. I imagine that lots of the adults know.

Sasuke's mom didn't even find out the name of Naruto until the day of his birth, and Saru's wife told Kushina that everything was suppose to be top secret. So I doubt anybody else knew what she was going to name Naruto besides Jiraiya. For all the village could know, Kushina died during childbirth, and the baby died with her. And the weakened seal set the fox free, and Minato used some kid to seal Kyuubi, and gave his life. I think only the people close to Minato and Kushina know. But that's just me. If it was common knowledge in the village I doubt it would've been kept a secret from Naruto for 16 years.

Quite. Maybe he meant seeing through those defenses and freeing the Kyuubi in the first place? Because Minato's jutsu set made him very good in the actual fight section.
Also, can you imagine how awesome they must've been as a couple during the war? Minato's speed and Kushina's power? "You made me hokage" indeed.

Likely all of the higher-ups and main Jounins know that Naruto is Minato's son.

If it's just half power and still stronger, by far, than any other Bijuu, then it must comprise the majority of the chakra for the 10-tails, imo. It's probably too powerful to seal with any conventional means besides a really powerful host like Kushina or Naruto.

She obviously had more control over the Kyuubi than Naruto did most of his life...and she had access to all of it. She must have been absurdly powerful.
