It may have strictly been something that required the special abilities of an Uzumaki though. That may be why the host has always been an Uzumaki.

😑 And talking about Uzumaki just made me realize.....EVERYBODY in Konoha had to know Naruto was the Fourth's son.....So I was definitely wrong.

I assume they sealed said Kyuubi because their First Hokage could make it his pet. And they also likely had tons of Uzumaki assistance in its first sealing. Now when Mito transferred the Kyuubi to Kushina, they may have used something similar to the kettle that had the Shukaku within it, but odds are something as powerful as the Kyuubi wouldn't be held by it for that long. But since I have no idea how they transferred the Fox over to Kushina, I can't really comment.

That said, Minato probably made the safest decision. If it had sealed itself inside Kushina, it would just come back later eventually. And Madara could more than likely easily obtain it again, which is the worst conclusion for Minato. By sealing half of it in himself using the death god, he kept its full power away from Madara's grasp while simultaneously sealing half of it in Naruto so that he can use it to combat Madara, It also gave him and Kushina one last chance to see their son as a young man, so that's a bonus.

I gotta say Minato is one hell of a ninja for being able to do all of that, especially in keeping the fox out of Madara's hands like that while still being able to make sure he and Kushina still see Naruto one day.

although this is one very cool flashback, it's taking a bit too long though, but then again Kishimoto wants to take his time to explain everything before moving on.

To me, it's still a mystery how they got it out the first host without having some epic death struggle to try and contain it. I mean, if the hachibi was giving all the Cloud nin that much trouble, imagine trying to wrestle the full power of the kyuubi into a convinient human host. I somehow doubt either of the Senju bros. were alive when the beast was given to Kushina; making an already difficult task even more so.

Damn! Forsaking your village or forsaking your children during the time of crisis. The childhood of the kages offspring have a habit of sucking really bad. I know it was for the safety of the village to seal up the fox but who the heck brings their near-dead wife and new-born son to the center of disaster? Also, I pretty sure Konoha could've made some time to create another non-fatal seal for the kyuubi; they were pretty content at throwing themselves at the beast before Minato arrived soo......

Cool minor things: Kurenai's dad, and what looks like her brother or something (who I guess didn't make it to the modern day, likely died in some mission). It's nice to see all the future badasses there, and sensibly held back for the village's future, better for the older ninja to take the heavier risks.

I dunno, I doubt they'd work well together. lol But against an army that had Minato, and a person who could fully control Kyuubi....no wonder Konoha was considered the strongest nation when you add those two to Saru, and the Sannin. Just imagine if Itachi had been around with them.... That would be one awesome and formidable team.

Plus the White Fang. They had a lot of S-class in those days (wars seem to help give ninja +skill).

It's impressive that the fully militarized Stone did as well as it did.

Personally I think the two probably did work well together, I see their talents complementing each other's.

It's honestly going a bit faster than I expected; this is IT, the big event, and the taglines implied we might see more than we expected.

I'm guessing they might've been able to do it host-to-host with little to no in between time. The Uzumaki jutsu that Kushina's using now is also quite effective.

Prepared conditions, lots of sealers at the ready, both Mito and Kushina working together on it, is my bet.

Also, I pretty sure Konoha could've made some time to create another non-fatal seal for the kyuubi; they were pretty content at throwing themselves at the beast before Minato arrived soo......

That involves heavy casualties, though, they weren't prepared for this, and someone still has to be the jinchuuriki.

Well the Cloud are never shown to be friends with any clans that specialize in seals or any good at it. They also lack the ability to control a beast like Hashirama if I took a wild guess. They were both killed in war so no they weren't around. But...Konoha went through the steps of bringing Kushina to Konoha just for the sealing so I'd think they'd have something prepared.

Even if Konoha could create another seal while the Fox was away, they wouldn't know when it would return(I can't think of how they would know), it would still be an easy target for someone like Madara. At least by doing things the way he did he accomplished 3 things

1. He kept the full Fox away from Madara's grasp while giving Naruto a power he could use to defeat him.
2. He saved many lives by moving the Fox away from the village.
3. Set it up so he and his wife could see him again.

😮 I thought he had put a tag on that guy, not made the seal with a touch.

I said the Sannin.

Right, my bad, never noticed.

They also had Kakashi's father, who was greater than even the Sannin 313

Much too powerful.

Pain was even shocked at how Powerful the Kyuubi was (it exceeded his guesses)...and he was leading the Bijuu capture operations or was involved in some way, with every single capture.

This is the 'half-power' Kyuubi, btw...not full power.

If it's just half power and still stronger, by far, than any other Bijuu, then it must comprise the majority of the chakra for the 10-tails, imo. It's probably too powerful to seal with any conventional means besides a really powerful host like Kushina or Naruto.

Yeah, Minato even states that it's impossible for him to fully seal it into Naruto, since its chakra reservoir is physically and conceptually beyond his understanding.

Also, we don't know if it's a straight up fusion i.e. (Chakra of Ichibi + Chakra of Niibi.......+ Chakra of Kyuubi). If it is, IMO, the total chakra capacity of Tailed Beasts 1-8 should be relatively equal to the Kyuubi's, if not surpassing it completely. Given that only half of the Kyuubi's chakra exists in the world, this seems even more likely now.

Him splitting the Kyuubi's chakra in half also serves an unseen bonus. If the Juubi is somehow revived, it will be weaker than it was all those years ago.

Oh yea, him too lol. Yea, they did. Saru creating such a peaceful Konoha is why the kids of Konoha just can't seem to surpass the older generation. I'd really like to see Ino-Shika-Cho show what they can do, and what their kids could maybe one day potentially do. Also just to show even more how fail Ino is to her legacy.

I don't, maybe. But when one can clear an army in the blink of an eye, a rampaging host wouldn't really be useful.

😛 You're a little late on mentioning him.

That was Asuma I believe.

He had the same ridges between his eyes and a similar shaped nose, he's just wearing his headband as a bandana and lacks the beard.

But the eyes, Asuma still has normal eyes and those are rings like Kurenai and her father's eyes.

I think I see Asuma in the first shot in that page (spikey hair), but the one saying "calm down Kurenai" is probably a relative.

wait, that means the full kyubii was in Kushi right?

so i'm assuming that Minato could only do half coz he was only one guy, and i'm also assuming that they had a team of "sealers" to put it into Kushi, then there's her special chakra and stuff

Rings?

Looks like a normal eye to me. 😐

Dude (or are you a female? >__>😉, the one next to Kurenai is likely Asuma. You say you believe the dude with spiky hair is Asuma. The one standing next to/slightly behind Kurenai is the one with the spiky hair, and likely the one telling her to calm down.

😆

Anywho, good chapter. I really like how awesome and ultimate Minato is. IMO, he just might be the best fighter in the series to date. I don't think all 6 pains would have stood a chance against Minato.

On that note, would not A also be able to easily take out all 6 Pains?

Hm, I guess you're right, I think I was mistaking it because his eyes are dot-circle instead of solid like Kakashi's or Guy's, and my brain was jumping to see dot-circle-circle like the Kurenai family.

lol!

So you're basically being a smartass by passively aggressively telling him he's full of shit?

I'll say it for you: Nemebro, you're wrong.

What? No, I'm saying that on second look, those aren't Kurenai-style eyes, I mis-saw.

I wouldn't think so. Even if he managed it would not be at all easy, and he'd probably need to know who does what to have a good chance.

minato throws the kunai, "shinra tensei". minato goes flying along with the kunai and is on the downward spiral in the fight.animal realm and asura path make his life miserable while god path sits pretty

nagato most likely knows a lot about minato's exploits anyway, the same can't be said for minato

Minato would pwn Deva Path. uhuh

Chibaku Tensei is nothing to Minato if he takes care of it with his Space-Time barrier. Srsly. 😐
