He wouldn't work as hard as he was though either.. He was that horrid AND was always training to improve himself. It wasn't until recently he's actually gotten around to being able to control his chakra good. With Minato around he's probably be a bit more bratty, and without the need to prove himself. True, being the son of the 4th would probably make him bratty. Still though, having the 4th as your father would give him some sort of drive to live up to his expectations.

Nobody is arguing that Kyuubi is > Hachibi... however you would expect HAchibi to be a complete insect to the Kyuubi if the Kyuubi was so much stronger, and the hachibi was weakened. And yes, you hit the nail on the head saying that it isn't quantifiable, which is why you shouldn't be making assumptions about Hachibi based on that showing.

Regardless, like the Kyuubi, he wasn't at full strength. Weaker than usual = not as strong as usual, for all intents and purposes. It's just semantics we're arguing here.

He wasn't even fully summoned inside Naruto's mind. All we saw were those tentacles surrounding Kyuubi (Hachibi has a secret lust for the Kyuubi???), and Hachibi's hand turning into Hachibi's head.

But my point still stands that multiple people were beating down the Kyuubi and it only took Bee to take his own down...and the Kyuubi was half power.

That's still much more of a summon than having a cloak on, though.

Point still stands that the Kyuubi is significantly more powerful than the Hachibi, by far, even at half power. Reasons have been made.

The Hachibi, despite it's awesomness, isn't even close to a half powered 6-tails kyuubi cloak. (cloak...not transformation, but cloak.)

Although the Kyuubi is most likely the strongest of the individual bijuus, I still don't get why Akatsuki need the first 8 before extracting the kyuubi. Wouldn't at least 4 or 5 out of the 9 be enough to balance it out?

It seemed that the statue-ritual required them all pretty much in order. I'm guessing it's just finicky about how they're entered and they couldn't do, say, 6 when they only had 1, 2, and 3 either, even though I'm pretty sure those three would stomp 6.

Note that they did make one attempt at Naruto early on pre-time skip, which if it had worked I assume would mean keeping him alive or the biju in a separate container, but maybe they could work around the statue order limit.

So Naruto wouldn't have the Uchiha or Hyuuga prideful emo people to beat him down. Then again...maybe then it be Naruto and Shino. 😱

Naruto Uzumaki will always be in love with Sasuke. But that's cause it's destiny. Uzumaki/Senju/Uchiha are all destined to be together. Just ask Madara and Shodai. Then the Uzumaki girl had to get in the way of their love and Madara couldn't take that.

But Hinata wouldn't want Neji that was weak, instead of just Hinata being weak then Neji would be weak, and then who would protect her? So their love would die out, and Hinata would go for Kiba since he's a wannabe Naruto. Then Hanabi would get with Neji, and she'd protect him like the true heir of Hyuuga and show the world true power since she's Hanabi and rivals Konohamaru's greatness but with a cooler name.
