That's kind of odd considering Madara came at Hashirama with the Kyuubi (full power) and Hashirama was not shown as having any Bijuu with him.

It was an unfair match-up, in favor of Madara.

It just happens that Hashirama had stronger Bijuu control than Madara's cheat eyes.

Also, it is a straight up fight and Madara lost, big time. A ninja fight is using everything and anything to win. It didn't even start out as a one on one since Madara was cheating.

The Kyuubi's presence and using it for victory are no different than using a certain fighting style to counter another person's fighting style....or using a technique/move that disarms someone's kunai from them.

Anyway, Minato did win in a straigh up fight, but it was only a weakened form of Mads.

Hashirama has the better feat and I honestly don't think anyone has a better feat: defeating a fully powered Kyuubi from a fully powered Madara.

No one, and I mean no one, can claim a better feat besides the Great Sage beating down the 10tails.

Where was it stated that Madara beat the Tsuchikage? Was it in a databook?

Itachi's rival wasn't manly either. Cause Sasuke nor Tobi are manly. But Shodai is very manly. He also at least wasn't a virgin when he died. 😛 Madara doesn't have any grandkid running around, and it's no Shodai's fault his children don't reproduce. *coughtsunadecough*

Damn, Kisame's dead. There goes the last cool member of Akatsuki. I just might have to take back any negative comment about Konan next chapter but she really doesn't need backstory though.

wow, Kisame was by far one of the coolest Akatsuki members. he lasted the longest in a fight and he had some nice moves too.

now as for the ending, I doubt Konan will be able to do anything against Madara, but hey maybe Kishimoto will surprise us.

One of Tsunade's parents was an Uzumaki-Senju.

It's simply a matter that the oil was sticky and kept the paper together, making it harder for Konan to use jutsu.

You assume I downplay Hashirama? On the contrary, not only is he along with Sarutobi and Danzo (If he counts) my favorite of the Hokages, I consider him one of the strongest ninja in the series bar none.

Cannot really say Hashirama's is the "best feat," since without a Biju on hand it would be useless to compare it when comparing him abilities-wise to another character, Hashirama does not have the Kyuubi as standard equipment.

That sounds more to me like "That dude's really tough, I fought him once." Doesn't really sound like "Yeah I fought that guy once, he beat me and I almost died."

At the least, it seemed like the Tsuchikage had combat experience with Madara of some kind. Perhaps facing him in a group fight as a young ninja or similar; quite possibly before his prime and not necessarily a duel, but it's hard to tell.
