Is he capable of phasing other stuff though?
The Konoha nin assumed he warped parts of his body away to phase through attacks, but Konan said that he just becomes intangible.

It's what I was referring to, with Lava being the origin of this discussion. 😐

That's why she opted for her Boil-Release set up in the first place. Zetsu doesn't even come into the picture until after she uses the Boil-Release. facepalm

Which is really besides the point. Yeah, Sasuke would have died had it not been for Zetsu (and later, Madara), but she had to use Boil Release, as Lava Release was ineffective against Susano'o. They were discussing her usage of Boil vs. Lava.
