Itachi shoved a crow with his best friend's eye in it down Naruto's throat! That's uber-creepy. Useful, though. Mind-control yourself into having free will! And it also makes Itachi's plans for Sasuke make more sense, he had another ace up his sleeve. If Sasuke had Itachi's eyes implanted during the last confrontation with Naruto, it'd have been over, Sasuke would've had to give up.And Shisui's jutsu is once-per-decade (possibly per-eye), barring Senju boosting...? And he had a mangekyo? Interesting. It does mean he had to kill/lose a friend. I get the impression from this that he's overall weaker than Itachi, especially with him losing an eye to Danzo, just more genjutsu-specialized.
It looks to me like Nagato has *not* broken free of Edo Tensei and Kabuto's trying to use him to deal with this setback and gain Shisui's eye, with which he could resurrect Shisui.

Just Itachi really. But I'll point out that he didn't intend to break free of Edo Tensei when he used the crow on Naruto.
Also, I get the feeling that Naruto will somehow be able to use the crow against Sasuke, that is, unless Kabuto uses Nagato to get that crow.

Just because of that genjutsu, he was apparently the most powerful genjutsu user around, even if he could only use it once/twice a decade (once per eye?). Anyway, have you ranked Shisui? We don't know if he lost his eye in conflict against Danzou. He wanted to protect the village through self-sacrifice. He was ANBU, possibly even Root. So I'm guessing he might have given up his right eye to Danzou.
Also, I don't think it would necessarily have to be Senju chakra. Naruto's chakra should work just fine, especially now that he has such a vast reservoir of Yang Chakra.Yeah, he hasn't broken free. Nagato's no longer emaciated as well, so he should be able to move around now. Plus he's about to kill Naruto.

Dunno. He had some sort of catharsis just before Nagato attacked, so it's possible he's gone now.
Nagato's obviously the bigger threat now. He regained his physical strength, is about to use the Human Path ability on Naruto.

And the exact kind of thing he did before with putting an amaterasu into Sasuke in case of Madara.His plan was basically: "Sasuke kills me. He either returns on his own, or Naruto probably bumps into him soon and if there's a fight he'll activate mangekyo. Then the crow comes out and Sasuke'll get hit with it, which'll make his mind reach that conclusion anyway if he hasn't already.

Hah, do you know what would be funny? Sasuke implants the eyes and decides to come back on his own. At one point Sas and Naruto are sitting around, just talking, and Sasuke shows Naruto the mangekyo for the fun of it. Then BAM, crow comes out and hits him with a redundant genjutsu, and everyone just goes "WTF?".

Shisui had uber genjutsu, was apparently very talented with the Sharingan, and he was known for his proficiency with the Shunshin. So yeah, he must have been a speedy taijutsu-genjutsu type ninja, with probably a fair bit of ninjutsu expertise. Ao probably fought Shisui when he was unable to use Kotoamatsukami.Indeed. All 3 clans tied to the Sage have super-uber chakra, but Uzumaki chakra has an amazing amount of vitality. Plus with Naruto having the Yang chakra of the Kyuubi, the genjutsu's time limit should be lowered considerably.

I'd say the primary factor is it's apparently crazy recharge time. Shisui would not want to use it in a fight if he could avoid it.
