Granted, but how else would you use it?

Keeping it active is a drain and/or strain on the user.

Rasengan seems to stop causing damage once it gets mastered. Chidori was still capable of burning Sasuke if he held it for too long(initially.) Which makes sense, considering the manipulation of the two is different. Since Rasengan doesn't really cause damage to the user, you can use it at your leisure. Chidori needs to be used quickly.

I got the impression he was talking about more his capacities with what he had...

Oh! I thought of a better example anyway. When Sasuke and Itachi went eye-to-eye and Sasuke broke the genjutsu, Zetsu talked about respective skills with 'weapons'.

The implication being, even though Itachi's is stronger, being a magnekyo and having his chakra, Sasuke trained up the genjutsu-breaking function of the sharingan enough to compete.

And breaking genjutsu is part of another ranked skill/category: genjutsu. So that, at least, was accounted for.

Though you disagree, I think Kishi has written many holes. HOWEVER...he is one of the better writers out there and he has accounted for such a large amount that I suspect he has a team of "lore" experts helping him keep it right. I have mad respect for Kishi's ability to keep it very error free.

Excellent point. I never realized that the "damage" both Sasuke and Naruto got on their hands from the techs magically stopped after they mastered the techs.

I learned something new about Naruto and I'm tickled by it. giggle

Hmmm.....

Itachi will swoop down on Kabuto, the two will fight for a bit, Sasuke will show up and pwn Kabuto due to him being distracted. Itachi will accidentally activate Amaterasu on Sasuke because of his orders to "Protect Konoha". Sasuke, upon being attacked, will rationalize that this is not his older brother, who wouldn't truly try to kill Sasuke. The two will fight, Itachi being unable not to due to the genjutsu placed on him.

I like that idea.

While Kishi has written some holes, I think how many is overrated. A lot of the time it's, "It's a hole if it's viewed this way.... but *not* if it's viewed that way. And there's nothing saying it's not that way or is the first way," type of things. If something's only a hole under one of several possible interpretations, then it's not a hole.

Yeah...that was why. haermm

Ha.

I dunno. I'd like to see her get one good fight in.
People without eyebrows have charisma. OR DID YOU FORGET!?

Well I suppose spit could count...Which is how Darui does it.

Won't press the matter any further.

Still can't think of anything. Damn, now I'm the one who is tired.

She should fight Chiyo. awesome
Nah. He's Naruto's Kenpachi. Crazy and badass, moreso than Muu.

Nah. Darui uses his manly sweat.

Give the other guy a shock in certain cases?

Any of his plot-holes come to mind?

Actual plot holes? Sasuke escaping from Deidara in Manda. He just had so little time, as well as already being tired.

Oh yeah.

There's a 36 page thread dedicated to Naruto plots holes:

However, most of those have been resolved.

Only a plot-hole as far as the time factor is concerned.
Tired people have managed to pull of shit before, so him summoning Manda isn't really that stupid. We don't really know if he was out of chakra, Deidara just assumed he was, and he has the Cursed Seal to draw out more chakra if he needs it.

@ DDM: Thanks, I'll check it out.

I always thought he used the cursed seal to summon Manda. In fact...didn't it show the cursed seal receding as he stepped out of Manda?

None of those are really plot holes though now.

I agree with the Manda thing. I don't think it's unlikely that he could have gotten chakra from the CS or Oro. His life was on the line so it makes sense that he'd have an adrenaline boost.

I meant in the anime, it showed the cursed seal receding. Meow. ARF!

Ah.

Adaption explanation.

Again, that idea never bothered me. I'm still trying to recall some big plot holes.

That works on the chakra front.Still, the time-frame is very tight.

Also, one that feels like it's going to be explained sooner or later but so far hasn't: Just how *did* Kakashi activate Mangekyo?

Something that'll be explained later doesn't really count as a plothole though. 😛

And I'll admit, yeah. The timing of that summon was a stretch.

And the speed at which Kakashi and Sasuke are moving at is what makes the technique S class. Because it is dangerous for the user to be moving at such a speed that they can't see anything. Which is why Rasengan is not S class. 😛
it consumed a lot of chackra and left the user open after each use if they missed

I always thought it was due to having lost Obito. It's not clear how Itachi used that to activate his MS...and balls.

The MS shit is actually getting out of hand. Madara, Izuna, and Shisui all decided to just butcher their best friend and somehow got a power up.

Either Itachi was lying(which would make him far more evil than he's intended to be) about the whole kill the closest person to you or Sasuke was the closest person to Kakashi and Shisui had an offscreen best pal.

True, but summoning jutsus have always been rather fast in terms of activation. It is an S/T jutsu after all, which all have pretty high speeds.
Then again, after Deidara exploded, Sasuke managed to summon Manda, use a genjutsu on him, get inside his mouth, and deactivate the summoning jutsu, all before the blast reached him.

The sadness you feel from losing said person, is what unlocks the MS. This is how Sasuke unlocked the MS.
Exactly why this occurred during the TS for Kakashi is unknown. Maybe the Kakashi Gaiden was us viewing Kakashi's memories of the incident, which led to the unlocking of the MS. He was always visiting Obito's memorial.

Must have been in the anime. Manga wasn't really clear.

Or maybe Kakashi's closest person was Sasuke? awesome
