Actually, the reason was a use of a secondary language (which he has used quite a bit, already, in his manga) to create an anagram which works for the romanization of two names he is using.

But you failed to notice that that was my point, despite it being quite explicit.

However, I would not be devastated if Kishimoto did not use a Romanized anagram for a character reveal. It seems highly unlikely, even in the face of a possible Obito being Tobi.

So if Tobi has Madara's eye, why hasn't it gone blind yet? It would have. Something is up. It has to either be Madara (a clone) or his brother in order to explain it not going blind yet.

So, we obviously have narrowed down two possible people:

Madara (but a super awesome clone)

Or Izuna.

So, thank me later for narrowing it down to just two characters, guys.

Or a third option, he could be any Uchiha. But since he has Senju cells, Sharingan might not drain his chakra extensively. 😛

And the reason it isn't blind is because EMS doesn't go blind.

It is not an EMS if it isn't THE brother.

It's only EMS if you take and implant your brother's eyes.

If it is Madara's eye, it could ONLY be eternal if it was Izuna. Since it is used quite often and spammed for almost two decades, we know it has to be Madara or Izuna.

Well, since it is said to be Madara's eye, that leaves us with ONLY it being Izuna.

If it were Izuna's eye, then we could say it was Madara.

So I guess we know it is Izuna. ANd that body is "old". Notice all the wrinkles the face of that body has? It has to be like...an 80 or 90 year old Izuna or something.

I vote for the Third Uchina brother: Nagato (Vulcan).

Madara had the EMS during his battle with Hashirama cause he'd already taken it from his brother. His eye was already completely EMS, had light, and all that jazz. If someone were to take that eyeball, the one with the EMS, why whould it go blind? o.O
