Did we ever learn how he regenerated his arm?

I think it was this stuff.

Good catch.

I'd also forgotten Tobi had to save Sasuke again. Twice in one day. What a loser.

Well, the odds were not in his favor either time.

Of course, Naruto had to be saved twice within a couple minutes. So neener neener neener. awesome

Which, I guess Sasuke tied that with the Bee fight.

Only because he's an idiot who tried attacking all the Kages at once.

He did?

Well Madara plans to do that same thing. 😛

Si. Pain fight remember?

I think its a wicked feat for Tobi. Naruto's rasengan smashed the asura path to bits in one hit. I don't think Minato's was any weaker but I suppose there is a reason Tobi is the "big bad". He is a monster in all categories.

I remember he also stopped Suigetsu's sword with his bare hands. Tobi's a real tank, he can soak damage and become invisible. And now he can absorb jutsu as well. Its gonna be friggin hard to bring him down.

That's true and ultimately where I was hoping to go with our discussion: Tobi tanked the destruction, for the most part, from Minato's rasengan...but Minato still used his strength to smash Tobi into the ground.

Though it is entirely possible that he went intangible at the moment. The scene is confusing.

He was tangible long enough for Minato to make a giant crater with his body. 🤨

Are you talking about the Senju cells...stuff...thingie?

I don't see any stuff?

Yes that stuff.

His hands all drippy.

The senju stuff...doesn't Kishi realize he's written himself into a potential plot hole with that?

If we could do that has humans, we would literaly become immortal. No character could ever truly die as long as you fed the "'proto-cells a la Senju" enough nutrients to remain as proto-cells.

Basically, anyone could capture the first's cells.

We could justify it is not a potential plot hole and say that only Tobi had the knowledge required to make the cells "usable" and "forever".

I'm pretty sure Kishi realized it since he has pointed it out. I also don't think that they can cure you if you are dead nor do I think the ninja would ever try to use it as medicine. Granted, it would get A his arm back I suppose. But I don't think many ninja are too afraid of dying.

I thin the bigger plot hole would be that if Senju cells gave you immortality, how did Hashirama die?

They do not though. It merely allowed Tobi to replace body parts, near as I can tell. Though they probably increase longevity. If Hashirama was caught by Jokey Boy for example, he wouldn't exactly be in a position to replace his entire body with a new one.

But Hashirama beat Madara and controlled the Kyuubi. Who could beat him in battle?

Tobi. 313

The funny thing is everyone calling it 'Senju cells', when really, it is 'Hashirama Senju cells'.

That was not really my point. It was this:

^

This was my point. (My other point was...why didn't they use Hashirama's cells to become immortal...in addition to "why did Hashirama die"😉.

And it was to tie into a previous point I made about the Great Sage being able to create life with his perfect Izanagi: if he can create bodies with chakra...why not create a new body for himself and transfer his mind to that body?

Better yet, why didn't he repaird his own body with Izanagi?

Basically, I consider the senju cell thing to be an extension of the Great Sage's Izanagi. To me, it is a vestigial power of Izanagi... That's baseless, but works in my head.

Not especially. I would like to grow up to be sorta like a male version of Chiyo. Man she kicked ass.

Nah. They used wood, he used wood. Is all good man, appreciate the wood. Until Naruto/Sasuke break your wood. Then be mad cause you ain't got no wood no more.

Madara's Fire Jutsu is > Sasuke's Amaterasu, so I doubt it vin
Stop deluding yourself. Growing up to be like Chiyo is way out of your league.

Nah. They used Wood Jutsu, he used Wood tree, and even because of that, I think he should be able to use Earth & Water.
Naruto & Sasuke won't break any wood man. Not when the wood is all everyone wants.

Because only one technique allows one to do that. Well, not the creating new body thing.

The Sage? Well, he probably didn't care to die. Not everyone wants to live forever.
