I don't really see that. Not like being his favorite has done him any favors in the past.

Dude, he let Sasuke survive from Orochimaru, Deidara, Itachi, and A.

Just so he could get his brains beaten in by his next opponent. 🙂

PIS surrounding Sasuke has always been exaggerated.

He was legitimately beating Deidara, and got Orochimaru when he was *really* weak.

He did legit beat Deidara and Orochimaru I just found to be a neat call back to this.

Besides, it's not like he caught Orochimaru completely off-guard.

i think what he meant was that kishi did an ass-pull to keep sasuke in the manga at the climax of the deidara fight.

Indeed.

Sasuke should have died considering it takes an enormous amount of chakra to summon creatures the size of Gamabunta and Manda.

There have been worse ass pulls. Due to

1. Summoning is pretty fast. He used one in the beginning to block the first bomb.

2. He had a creature inside of him that would allow him to get an extra boost of chakra if his life were in danger.

3. Kabuto summoned Manda before...he was in as bad, if not worse, a physical state as Sasuke.

Wondr why nobody has questioned how Sasuke was able to escape C0 while keeping Orochimaru supressed. Seriously how the hell did he do that.

Well if you were Orochimaru, would you want to come out during C0? 😛

To be fair, Sasuke managed to summon Manda, cast a genjutsu, get inside his mouth, and undo the summoning, all while Deidara was still in the midst of blowing up.
That's what's stupid. Sasuke could do all that in the time it took Deidara to explode. Based on that, he should be faster than Minato. 😛

The rest is not really stupid, considering Sasuke had something that could boost his chakra levels, and Deidara would not be able to tell if Sasuke were really out of chakra.

Summoning is fairly fast, genjutsu is rather fast, and Manda taking the explosion caused him to go poof, reversing the summon.

Really I just imagine Manda chillaxing, being summoned to sharingan, put under a genjutsu along the lines of "Don't eat me", and then being hit with an explosion.

Eh, I'd rather him not die. Would feel like a hollow victory if Naruto couldn't save his friend.

Orochimaru came out in the middle of Itachi's Susanoo use.

I wonder if Naruto and Sasuke really are supposed to mirror Madara and Hashirama. Cause in that case I think we already know the ending.
