Which is certainly more appealing than coming out during C0.

Well, Madara and Hashirama never had to deal with an enemy like Tobi being around.

Of course, I doubt Tobi will let either Sasuke or Naruto die in battle. If he can help it.

The act of Summoning - fast.
Genjutsu - fast.
Sasuke taking some blood and invoking the summon + jumping into a Giant Snake's mouth - not as fast as the first two, not unless he's faster than Minato.

The fact that Sasuke was a few mere feet away from Deidara when he exploded just makes it ridiculous.

Just takes a dash of blood, no hand signs. For this one anyway. And during the jumping he did get hit so not so unrealistic to me. 😛

Based on what Sasuke did right there, he is, unless PIS is involved. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Except all he did were things that can be done in a relatively shorter time than Minato could in that position.

Wipe, smack, stare, jump.

And even then, he did get hit. Just didn't take the full explosion. Hell, he probably got knocked into Manda.

You really think all that could be done while he was a couple of feet away from an exploding man whose explosion was powerful enough to cover a radius of 10 km? Honestly? 😐

Incorrect. It's wipe blood, smack ground, wait for summon, activate Sharingan, stare at summon, move into summon's mouth whilst he can barely move.

No he didn't get hit into Manda. He was already in Manda's mouth when the explosion reached him & Manda, since they were hit right before they ported.

Of course, I don't think he did it without multitasking. Last image of Sasuke shows the smack, activates sharingan while waiting, and then stare while jumping.

Edit: Of course, I don't know why this is even a conversation. PIS is rather subjective.

at least konan had some data and time to figure things out before revealing her moses bomb

Well if you're talking about the whole Suigetsu thing, it makes sense. Sasuke never knows when he has to make a quick escape, so best to be prepared. That doesn't really require him to know his enemies abilities.

Edit: The Konan thing seems more like PIS to me than the Snake thing. Why didn't Madara just fall to the bottom of the lake and phase through it? 😛

Sasuke does not think he defeated a powerful Oro, either. Thought I'd through it out there.

And, no, the Sasuke-Manda thing was the biggest ass-pull thing in the series. It is giant PIS to the max.

When someone asks, "what is PIS?" I say, "you remember that one time Sasuke survived Deidara's biggest blast? Yeah. That." Then the lightbulb comes on in their head like I just told them about Jesus for the first time.

Edit - Naruto's mass shadow clone jutsu would be EXACTLY the same if it were not for him being the kyuubi's host: we know later about it giving a massive amount of jutsu. I WOULD call that a retcon to get rid of PIS...however...having Naruto be the host of the most powerful Bijuu was the plan the whole time (whisker markings and orange jumpsuit).

So, I'd like to ask this: name all the PIS (in favor of Naruto awesomeness) from Naruto.

Also name as much PIS in favor of Sasuke, as well. We know the Manda thing already. I named the mass shadow clone thing for Naruto. But there are probably a lot more legit ones for both.

That biggest for Sasuke would be the Hawk summon. Though I think I see what Kishi was trying to do there.

For Naruto....The Kakuzu fight pissed me off because the latter became so stupid I could scarcely believe it(See what I did there!?).

But it would probably be the being ready to fight Deva Path right after going 8-tails. His body should have been shot to hell and back.

It is. But it is PIS that Sasuke was able to do what he did in such a short time-frame. This is the manga where 5 seconds is a very short time-frame. 😛

Yeah. His mastery of Sage Mode in such a short time was PIS as well, though not as definitive.

Well all of Shippuden is his genjutsu, so I guess it would make sense that some things don't seem right.

Indeed. Tobi didn't know where he got the summon. Point: Sasuke is keeping secrets, from Tobi and the reader. 😛
