Even the beginning is fun. It's just if you're looking for shonen goodness that comes later.

Holy shit.

If it takes over 100 chapters for it to finally "get good" then why bother? 😬

Naruto was in one of it's best arc by that time.

It definitely does not take 100 chapters to get good. There's plenty of awesome stuff well before that, like the Kyoto arc.

I'm not too sure why Dadudemon finds it immature, honestly. It follows the standard cliches and formulas less than any of the big three. It didn't click for him for some reason, but odds are you'll like it waaay sooner.

Well NemeBro said he had to prepare himself to power through the early chapters. And Dewdemon seems to also hate them. Your word against theirs. 😛

Formulas are fun though. But I'll have to read D. Grayman first, before I look at this stuff.

And to keep things on topic so Psycho doesn't go psycho, I want the epilogue of the series to be a Chunin Exams Final tournament between all of the children of our current characters. Would be cool to watch.

'Cause he had heard some people only like it when the action starts, which is true.

And pretty much everyone agrees 'the early bits' are well-finished by Kyoto, if not sooner (the first really big fight is vol 3).

Formulas are fun though.

It follows formula to an extent, but it also has a lot of subversive bits.

Like Negi being more of a Shikamaru/Uryu/Kurama/Etc. type than a Naruto/Luffy/Yusuke etc. type.

The importance of the side-characters is also a major thing.

That'd be pretty fun. It'd also require revealing what pairings happened, so doubly so 🙂

Course, since Naruto is on his way to becoming the 2nd Sage, he'll probably end up dying. If Sasuke is alive, he'll name his kid Naruto or something. 😖hifty:

I bought a Naruto volume yesterday! I support the official release, unlike you cheap motha ****as! XO

*Looks at Naruto volume* Yea, I get them too 🙂

Hush your mouth. >_>

I will get all of them once the series finishes though. A nice memorable collection to have.

I do not find it immature in the way you think I am applying that definition.

Or at least the way I think you think I am applying the definition.

Here is an example of the maturity I am talking about: Beowulf compared to Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher.

Both cover fantasy. Both are English stories. Both cover bravery and monster creatures.

However, one is much more mature than the other.

I am not using immature as in, "Naruto sticks his tongue out in reply to an elder and farts in someone's face to win his fight" But I can't quite define how I'm using it in the way I am, either. It's just not that way. Maybe you know what way I am using it now? I'm just not good at "articulating" things at times.

Naruto is better, though. uhuh

Yea, I figured you weren't using it that way. Note how I mentioned formulas and cliches when talking about maturity, not stick-out-tongue stuff- we're talking about exactly the same type of maturity,

But Negima's got pretty mature storytelling. It has a lot of humor, but it's not lacking in depth.

Look, I'll give you some spoilers, since you don't plan to read more:

Spoiler:
The primary objective of the 'big bads' of the story is to save the magic world, or at least as much of it as they can. They are not in it to launch an evil empire or so on- they are in it to save lives.

One of the characters is literally from a harsh future that happened because they are stopped. Beating them up, thus, is a 100% chance of millions dying.

I thought you meant, by the formulas, the typical shounen immaturity stuff like....sticking out tongues, fart jokes, poop jokes, pranks, ragey thought bubbles (Sakura), n'stuff like that that is frequent in shounen.

From what I read...it's lacking in depth. Like I said, it seems like the story was formulated by an 8-year old and they ran with it making shallow arcs with extremely generic shounen characters.

So dadudemon I was reading an old X-Men comic, and I couldn't help but notice that, in it, Colossus pulled a tree out of the ground, root system and all, and later traded blows with Gladiator, both destroying alien skyscrapers with the shockwaves of their punches. 🙂

Just thought I would let you know. 131

I am unwilling to say early Negima is "bad", I just don't like harem manga or anime, it's not my thing, and as such don't particularly care much for the early stages thus far.

Also stfu Aura Naruto ends with ghey NaruSasu buttsecks and Hinata and Sakura lezzing out. Just like how it began.

Well me and DP have decided that we will be dictating the ending to OP and Bleach respectively. So you get Naruto I suppose. And if that's what you want....go for it. haermm

Nigga I had dibs on Naruto like two or three years ago.

From the academic white paper I cited, it is 5 times harder to uproot a tree horizontally than it is vertically.

Just thought I'd let you know.

🙂

That part isn't really as relevant as the "demolished skyscrapers" bit.

And no, it is harder to uproot a stump horizontally. 🙂

3 characters that need to reappear.

1. These two.

2. And This chick.
