I submit that Shikamaru could beat Neji. awermm

Neji only has close-range attacks and if he tries to get close Shika can shadow-grab him. And imo he isn't fast enough to blitz.

that's why i didn't do my list based on them fighting each other. Shino could very feasibly beat Sakura simply by avoiding her altogether, but i doubt anyone would argue Shino is more powerful than her.

TBF Sakura could probably just throw a house at him.

And of course we see that Temari was about to try something else before Shikamaru outsmarted and snagged her.

Sorry bro, Temari was pressing the attack during the entire fight and not just "letting" Shikamaru form strategies.

Dodging needles from Sasori, reacting to and dodging Sasori's Iron Sand jutsu (Which, if we go by visuals, broke the sound barrier).

Chouji could kill Neji in one shot, and he is stronger, more durable, more chakra. Really, he could step on Neji.

So like I said, at worst it'd just be a double-ko.

The art was way better before. The new art is so blah.

As for Neji vs. Shikamaru. lul. Kage Mane is slow as ****. Neji would kill him instantly while tap dancing around the kage mane.

Neji does have that air-punch move.

Though I think the lack of ability to hide is a factor that hurts Shikamaru.

And this all proves my point. Attacking the same tree that he's hiding behind over and over again from the same angle and vantage point is stupid. If she'd used even a little common sense she would have won.

She was attacking the entire group of trees, and what would changing angle of really accomplished? Shikamaru can change his position and angle as well. In fact, he was doing exactly that.

She was being controlled by whats-her-names puppet chakra strings in both instances. Her movements were not her own.

Only Chouji needs but activate a single technique, which he can do so easily,that would make his vitals unable to be harmed. Neji would win if the fight started very close, but that is it. That also ignores that I ranked them according to overall powah, and Chouji is better than Neji in that regard.

She didn't dodge the big AoE move he used, Chiyo did that(and failed anyway). Truth be told, we really aren't shown her reacting to much.

Still she was apparently able to dodge Tsunade's attacks. That's pretty cool.

Sakura did dodge when Sasori busting out his big puppet swarms.

This page has her avoid a whole bunch at once.

I do find it suprising how Lee is so low considering the speed amp he gets by using the gates.

Well Shikamaru has been in situations where making a plan hasn't worked before. For instance Tayuya and the first encounter with Hidan.

Too bad it really was anime only. Looked at the scene where the Kyuubi was pushed out of the village in the manga and I didn't see a pole.

More or less because he has no showings after the first arc of Shippuden. By all rights, he should be better than Sakura.

By all rights, he is faster than Sakura. But he isn't stronger. If it came down to a point where I compared them solely in taijutsu, I would pick Lee. But Sakura has more than taijutsu. 😛

And Lee tended to open up the Gates for whatever reason. Which does give Sakura an opening.
