I dont know any particular language Adûnaic is based on,
The Common Speech is based on Adûnaic, its descendant maybe, though it has also influences from the ancient languages of the people of Bree, the Dunlendings etc (they also used Common Speech/Soval Phare/Westron afterwards, or variations of it), most mortals learned that language, it was mainly used in Gondor I think, a little differently in the Shire and the old language of the Rohirrim was also related to it ... and as Westron is the mothertongue of the hobbits and Tolkien wants us to feel like hobbits he represents westron by english in the book and replaces the original Rohirric tongue, closely related to westron, by Old English (and older languages like those of the peoples of Rhovanion by Gothic and similar languages - cf. the names Vinyathar, Vidumavi, Vidugavia)

see I was just thinking...if they were elves at first then they should be immortal...and if they are and they do go to Mandos, are they there as there original selves or as disfigured spirits...
Ok, here we go with my "theory." Hopefully, it makes sense. I don't have any of the books in front of me, so I am working off of memory, forgive me, if I stray.
Hhmm, I think this is too obvious and all of you know this already but I'll just say this to emphasize a point. 🙂
Orcs are not Elves --- JRR Tolkien
😉
Orcs are not Elves, Trolls are not Ents. Orcs and Trolls were designed by Melkor as the anti-thesis (the opposite likeness) of Elves and Ents; their creation is the most heinous of Melkor's acts in Iluvatar's eyes. Orcs are wholly different creatures from the Elves though it was believed that they came from them. (It is said in the Silmarillion that the Elves believed that Orcs were originally made from captured Elves.
They believed; they did not know. The Valar didn't tell the Elves about the origin of the Orcs because they didn't know themselves or they wanted everyone to believe their propaganda that Morgoth was incapable of creating anything for himself. If Melkor did create the Orcs, not just corrupt them, then they would lack the spark of The Flame Imperishable that would give them real life. They would have no immortal soul. They would be wholly evil and irredeemable.)
Orcs were not of Iluvatar; therefore, immortallity was a gift that could not be received by them (Melkor could not give that which only Iluvatar can give), but they could have extremely long lives (nearing immortality) if there were an agent of Evil that would bind their fear and hate to Middle-earth (during the battle at the Black Gate, those creatures bound to Sauron lose their will when the Ring is destroyed). As they were not of Iluvatar, their will and strength was not as great as the First- or the Second-born; their strength is in their numbers, and they are easily swayed by fear; they are not defiant to their overlord.
In summary, Orcs are not Elves, but were designed in the anti-likeness (for lack of a better term) of them. They were not immortal, but could have been perceived as immortal. 😮💨
😄
they were created FROM elves though
basically, malkor tortured them....untill all they did was hate, and wish to hurt and kill
and as with all evil in middle earth...after a while, it starts not looking very nice at all
happened to melkor, then to sauron...then to the orcs, until they gradually became a seperate species altogether
What did the Valar have to do to Morgoth before they could cast him into the Void? No, "capture him" isn't the answer.
In the earliest mythologies (1910-ish), who was it that pleaded before the Valar to go to war with Melko and save the Noldoli?
Who is Dior's father?
Who fights alongside Turin during the Dagor Dagorath? Bonus: As the mythology of Arda evolved, one of them had a name change. State the character's name before and after said change.

Fights next to Túrin - Fionwe, later called Eonwe. Who else? hm........ his sword Mormacil (Mormegil, Mormagli, Mormael, Mermegil, ...)? Earendil did... Tulkas (Astaldo, Poldorea, Afothfréa, Enner) probably played one of the main parts (and by his side were standing Túrin and Eonwe)
Pleaded to go to war? Can only be Tulkas... after he was so angry when they let Morgoth go... maybe Feanor also pleaded but I think he didnt ... hm... no idea ^^ well depends on which time you mean - before the elves awake? After he destroyed the trees? After theyre already in Middleearth? At the End of the First Age? For the last one, its Earendil ("thus it was that the many emissaries of the gnomes in after days never came back to Valinor... save one, and he came too late"😉, but thats also in the Silmarillion
Do before they cast him into the void? Eh, in which version? In the old one he isnt even cast there... he climbs on a tree... and then the Valar destroy the tree... while Melkor was still near its top... and he couldnt come down again Ô_o in the sil... ehm... hm... bind his hands? bind his feet?? Bow his head down?
Yep they do 😄
Well Tolkien writes that the elves love songs and poems of course... especially the Vanyar... the Noldor made gems for fun ^^ and the Teleri ships 😛 And I think if there arent any supermarkets you also dont have too much free time... and, hm, what did the peoples in the Middleages or in Egypt do?
