USH'S MATRIX GAME FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY PATH)- 'The Journey'

'wraithing' I am unsure about, but I get your gist- same basic idea as Castor.

It's not padding I am after exactly, Rade, but some attempt to try and get to grip with things intelelctually- even if that 'fails', as it were.

Alright. If bothe Castors believe that they would die to protect zion if it was necessary for its survival and they both agree that they think they are the real one but that they could also be the clone, because the clone would also believe that he is the real one. Does that form a foundation for some sort of submission about who should drink?

Err, well, it can form part of a submission but it does not soplve your issue of which one WILL drink.

Okay. Now that we know both are willing to drink we just need to determine an argument for one that cant be mirrored. Right?

I won't pretend that makes your submisison perfect but that is what stops it from being complete right now, yes.

question...when was the copy made? i know you've said it before...but i forgot 🙂

Literally speaking you don't know as you don't really know how much time has passed. But it was some point between the wine you drank at the end of Assignment III knocking you out (your last pre-treatment memory) and you waking up on the sofa (your first post-treatment experience for the human, your first genuine experience full stop for the AI).

When we were knocked out by that wine...hate that damn wine...bleh

i'm trying on finding something that only ONE might have experienced...hmm

A barren seam, I think you will find that; it would invalidate the scenario. It is important that your memories up until this point are identical.

Are our beliefs identical?

Can you provide a reason why they might not be, seeing as you do not know which one you are?

I suppose not. Then the solution isnt there.

Sorry, then...

No need. Im narrowing where I should look for a asis of deciding. Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually the same. The code. Thats all I can think of. The only way to find out is for one to drink. We botht htink the same thing...but the argument needs to be unmirrorable....what things are unmirrorable. Fingerprints...Inkblots(Heh.)....Where Lighting Strikes....::burned out::.....an AOL screen name Heh....oii...

If you cannot distinguish a difference, you need a reason that is not linked to who/what you are.

See, the thing is, you have accepeted that you cannot find a difference... so there is no point trying to distinguish who drinks on one of you being different!

what about us being the same?

That somewhat contradicts distinction...

You could, for example, flip a coin, though that is perhaps more appropriate for Rade, and he's already done that bit.

Conceeding that there is no way to tell the difference and that the only way to see whois real and who is fake why not just flip a coin. The person who gets heads lives, tails drinks. It seems to be the only way. It may be random, but one will live on to help Zion I suppose. Thats the worst case scenario, which isnt too bad. (Of couse the person cant actually play anymore but still) Bets case is that the clone will have drank and the real castor will live on.

What you think?

It is more appropriate to Rade because he said trust to chance- but as I said, that's not engaging with the problem and so does not really score.

I cannot really square a coin toss with your belief in fate- it is thematically not quite spot on.
