"They're amazing." Maik lied again. SHe made a mental note to do so less in the future.

"You know Gryffindors are terrible liars." Selena says sighinga and shaking her head. She rolled the papers up and dropped them into the trashcan that magically ate them.

Maik smiled lightly. "No, just me." she looked down at the trashcan and scuffed a boot on the floor. "I"m sorry, I should have said something."

Selena laughed softly. "It's okay. I wasn't too fond of them either. They were mostly my husbands designs. He's just a terible drawer."

"Your husband designs dresses?" Maik said, slightly confused by that.

"No, but he has this thing of exercising his power. Most men do it. He likes having a say in stuff so I pretend to be naive and let him think he has all the brains." Selena laughed softly.

"And that works?" Maik asked, eyeing the trashcan

"Sort of." Selena tells her.

"So what do you do with the designs?" Maik asked. "When you don't throw them away, that is."

Selena shrugged. "Give them to my husband. I know what he does with them and I don't care."

"Your husband seems to have some werid habits." Maik remarked with a small smile. the idea of Mr. Hubert designing dresses was highly entertaining in her opinion.

"Yes, but it is to appear that they are my designs, no one is to know that he supposedly designs them." Selena laughed. "WHere is my son? Isn't he normally fluttering about on cloud nine when you're around?"

"I'm not sure." Maik said, her ears going slightly pink.

Selena smiles warmly. "I meant not to embarass you, my dear. You just seem to bring out my son's hapiness."

Maik smiled. "He does the same for me, it's only fair."

"That's good. Everything should be mutual in a courtship. Has my husband made silly rules for you like he has your brother?"

"No." Maik replied. "Not yet at least."

Selena sighed. "He is so protective of our children I fear that he has chase many of their admirers away."
