"It will take more than rules to scare Elrohir away once he's set his mind on something." Maik chuckled

"Oh dear, then my husband may be worried" Selena laughed softly. "I know you and your brother are good people and only want the best for everyone."

Maik nodded. "Yeah, at least that 's what we try to do."

Selena nods. "If you don't mind my being so bold, I must confess something."

"What's that?" Maik asked

"I believe my husband has a slight fear of you." Selena blushes slightly. "I don't know why, but I am pretty sure."

"Afraid of ME?" Maik repeated, slightly confused. "But why?"

Selena shrugged. "I'm not sure, oh hey, Descartes, sweetie, how long have you been there?"

Descartes walked in with Maik's drink. "Not long. Just heard you say you're not sure of something." He turn's to Maik. "Here you go. I hope you like it."

Maik smiled at Descartes and thanked him for the drink. "I'm sure I will like it."

Descartes smiled softly blushing a littlle. "Thanks."

"Were is your father?" Maik asked. "I still haven't met him yet."

Descartes blushed. "Oh dear god, I thought you had. He should be in his study. Would you like to go meet him?"

"I don't want to bother him if he's busy." Maik replied

"He's not." Descartes said gently taking her hand and leading her towards Darius' study.

Maik followed him, not sure if it had been a good idea to suggest meeting Darius.

Darius smiled almost to sweetly as he watched the two come in. "Descartes, I see you've brought Ms. Celebrian to our humble abode. I hope you've shown her a good time."

Maik did her best to return Darius' smile, watching him closely and trying to decide what to make of him. "He has shown me a wonderful time, actually."

"Good, good." Darius said walking over to them. "I don't believe we've met formally. . .My name is Darius Hubert." He says taking her hand and bring its back to his lips giving it a small kiss.

"Maik Fingon." Maik replied. "It's a pleasure."

Daroius arched an eyebrow but said nothing. (WHy did I say celebrian?) "Firm handshake you have there, mi'lady. You know what they say about that."
