No no, I'm a huge fan of the old Aliens and Pred movies, they were fantastic, but this one, had less violence, a dum ending, and it left little to the imagination.*Spoiler*
So let's say the baby alien in the pred's chest lived, okay, he's in a ship packed with Preds, okay, there's no freakin way that he'll survive, then again, if he hides, and waits till they arrive on Preddy planet, he's gonna muliply? Then there will be a scary pred/alien fusion monster? Ha! That's so lame. Especially when the Pred carved that aliens skull to equip the girl with a shield, what the hell was that?? Argh, bad film!
Spoiler:. and the whole pred-alien thing being lame is wierd becuase thats what they have put in all their games and comics for ever. and i think pred-aliens are so cool becuase they have best of each creature. and the pred giving the girl a shield was awsome becuase he was trying to ceep her alive seeing that she was not in the hunt.

No their was no intention for younger audiences seeing this movie. It has been pointed out, the reason the originals got the ratings they did was due to language and human gore. Also Anderson said that his initial cut was R rated,but all the best parts were cut out, to give it a PG-13 rating several weeks before release,. So much for full artistic vision, huh. Dont blame the filmakers, blame the people who have ruined these franchises from the begining and enver wanted it to work. I mean princess diaries is the number one movie in America right now. I thought people would still have been able to seperate good movies from redundant garbage money making greed hogs. This movie did everything it promised, that is all there is needed to be said.
Well yeah, thats what we all want, but budget doesnt allow for that, eigther do producers it seems. You could have had that dream answered with a possible sequal, but this film is going to go down in flames, but aquire a great cult following after all is said and done, it will be rememberd as what could have been, in the sense of resurecting the two dead franchises with one giant breath.

I do not understand how they can make a sequel with that ending (while cool). If the movie is just aliens and just predators...there would be no dialogue! LOL there are no humans to speak if the story takes place on the pred ship or later on the pred homeworld...there will be no words to understand! Maybe the director should have thought of that.
i saw the film and i found it ok....could of been a lot better....thats all...

there are also theories that humans were an expedition team set out on Earth to colonize it. The home land would return every so often to help build shelters and advance in certain area's of society whenever they returned. Now as for modern times, They return every so often and confer with the U.S goverment assuming that they are giving everyone the knowledge of this, but the goverment keeps it a secret because if they knew we were from another planet, we would all want to go home, and the goverment which is really controlled by the ilumanati who in return controlls the entire world in one way or another, would have no one else to controll if everyone went back home.

This isn't released till October 22nd here, and it's a 15 rating here which from the descriptions I have heard is nothing more than a 12A/PG-13 that you guys are on about.
They should have gone at least with the Desperado director(forgotten his name right now) like he was rumored to make AvP years ago.
