no dragon, i LOVE the pred movies (first one is my fav of all time, 2nd was good, not great, mainly cuz it gave the pred the spear, netgun and disc, and a few extra vision modes.) I love the first 2 alien movies, think the 3rd is decent, and the 4th flat out sucked.
the reason i keep "bashing you" is, well frankly, everything you say is either completely made up, like how praetorians are pred alien queens, or how pred aliens are smarter than predators and steal their weapons and other bullshit, or i give my opinions on other sucky comments
the reason i compared it to land before time would be very obvious if you read your own post that i quoted... you said this movie is great because it is a predator sequal or something along those lines. I said that based on that logic, all of the land before time sequals would be great, cuz the first movie was pretty good, the others just sucked.
So no, im not bashing you directly. Go into all of the other threads im part of and notice that whenever there is a post i comment on, i quote it and then write what i think about it, and it has been done to many other people than you. Obviously no offense was intended, but really dude, quit TRYING to make me out to be some evil pred-hater or something, cuz it is only making you look worse.
Now, back on topic. I think it was Remorse who said that this movie delivered exactly whta the fans wanted? Umm... not really. As I have told you earlier, i'm in my "tear apart" stage of the movie, cuz i hated it when i saw it the first time. Right now, yeah, i am whining about little things that are insignificant, like alien acid or aztec calendars. But back on my "first reviews" i hit the reasons WHY i hated the movie. Namely it felt too much like jurassic park (queen's rampage, opening with a dig site, wealthy people and secret helicopter rides, etc), the preds dependability on their canons (sure, they were young, but they made them a bit too weak in my opinion, one aliens should never have killed 2), making the movie too much of a "back and forth brawl" (preds come in and kill plenty of humans, aliens come in and kill 2/3 of the preds, single pred turns around, get his gun, and kills about 10 or so aliens, alien queen comes in and beats the crap out of the two survivors, etc), and my main "beef" being only one decent fight scene (the one on one fight) in which the ending absolutely SUCKED. It was like a cheesy wwe or whatever wf is now fight, where one party starts winning right off the bat (alien killing pred and pouncing on 2nd pred), then the other party really starts to kick the other's ass (pred cut off tail's barb, slammed alien through walls, catches in net), but in the last second the first party beats the other ( alien jumps on shoulders and headbites, instant death... VERY poor ending to such a great fight, especially as the first pred was head-bitten just 5 minutes earlier, IN THE SAME SCENE!!!). Overall, i think it had potential, but the movie just felt far too lacking. I place it well above alien resurrection, but it will have to make due with alien 3's ranking of "mediocre"....
I liked Alien 3, Infact I thought it was pretty damn great.
Kontraz, Everything I say is based on Educated Guess's and yes, I am wrong sometimes. I even own the game, and thought that the Praetorion was the Predalien Queen, and "You are molting into a queen" Is the ALIEN queen. Sorry about the mix up... Or should I say me being a dumb fu#k.
Regardless, Land Before Time was always destined to be a failure because of the extreme amount of dinosaur and monster movies out there, and what I said was basically that they made a quick movie to show that both the Predator, and Alien, are still very much alive and the movies arent stopped from development.
AVP was great for those who are Pred fans, I did not like how they made the Predator so nice, though, I kept waiting for them to like jump on top of each other and start making otu after the Predator took off his mask.
And I kept waiting for the pred to take off his mask and be like a jamacain dude because of how long they made the dreadlocks. Like the pred with baggy pants a tank top, and a tatoo that says Mambo on his arm.
I went to see it a 4th time, Yes... I see movies alot... and there was like two groups of people in there, one was like 4 or 5, teen agers and there was like 3 Adults and a kid, and this one dude kept laughing every time a Predator killed someone, and the Face huggers jumped on people, and he laughed really loud when the chestburster came out, he was creepy. anyways, I made note on how they all were exchanging judgements on there way out of the theatre about how badly it Sucked.
So... I got mad... in my mind.
Predator's Respect other warriors, But they dont bring there Prey to hunt with them.
About the Predaliens being able to use weapons and armor, Read the Book PREY, its got predators in it, and they like talk about Predaliens being 50% 50% on a come out, could be 65% predator or 65% Alien because of there "Transferrence" of Genes through reproduction ways or some crazy crap, pick it up, if you can find it, its old.

Beating it in terms of, there was like 20 people in the Theatre in AVP on opening day, and there was like... 100 kiddies... The Movie was sold out at three locations for like the first weak (I know, they had to yell it out because of the long lines, I feel sorry for all the sad little kiddies... Not really.)
Beating it in terms of near me, Its been sold out, Ive heard them yell it while waiting in line the second, third, and fourth time to go see AvP.
im looking foreward to a director's cut... though i already know there wont be any extra fight scenes. Anderson already said there was only one big fight scene they shot, and it obviously made it to the movie... I dont think they cut out hardly any scenes with the aliens and preds in them, only the tail ends of scenes so they didnt show too much gore.
yeah, i have the trilogy... those stats werent for mental capacity though, i'm fairly sure they said something about it still being 100% "hive minded", as in it didnt have much as far as rational thought goes, but its problem solving might be higher (if it was more pred), but either way it still acted more on instinct.
Well I saw this movie the other day and loved it. I thought it was the best entertaining movie I have seen in a long time. I thought the predators were just so bad ass and ****ing awesome. The alines i was surprised that they had them fight so well against the predators because the predators are so smart at huntings. But a cool part of the moive was when the alien stuck its tail through the predator right before he went to kill a human and it looked like the alien was like yea what now ***** were here lol. But I liked it and will deffintly see it again.

Well in the search box type in alien 5, itll come uyp and say there waiting to see how well AvP does before starting on alien 5.
If AvP does well, you can count on another AvP installment before another alien movie. There are so many problems with the rights and who exactly has entire ownership. this was a large reason that cemeron diddnt return for another installment. he couldnt get freddom for the script. aVp isnt going to do well enough for fox to jump on board with open arms for an AvP sequal. Depending on what international grossings bring in. It would take the persistance for a Director to get this movie made through an independant producer. the film has just barely made back it's budget. I think predator 3 may inspire other pred movies, but if there would be another alien movie, it would be low budget and not until the distant future.
speaking of Predator 3, whats the news on the story? I've heard two possibilities so far
1) an adaptation of the comics, having dutch (arnold's char) disappear and his brother (shaffer) take the lead (he looks just like his brother). The government is somehow involved in dutch's disappearance, and when another pred starts hunting somewhere, they pick up his brother and send him on a "bullshit mission" just like in the first movie (only probelm is shaffer is a cop, so they'd have to work that in somehow differently).
OR
2) Remember the pistol the pred tossed GLover's character at the end of Pred 2? I heard that the next movie will show the history of that gun....
