Oh, like wrestling?

You'll probably see where that's going.

Just testing your intelligence. I could have used a different word. Like maybe a Judo throw.

I'm going to have to take your first answer.

Well if you read the comic you can clearly see the difference assuming you know what a powerbomb is.

It seemed to work fine when Colossus took out Sasquatch. That fight started out as a brawl but then Colossus powerbombed him.

what issue is that? is it uncanny?

Which do you suppose would be more painful?

Uncanny X-men #121

here it is...

Looks like a Judo throw to me.

Yes, Colossus does Judo. Established pages back.

he says judo and all... my mistake... but that was years ago... surely he's learned more since then???

Without it being said, I don't think we should assume he has.

Yes I know that. The point was to show you that Colossus' Judo could very well be the deciding factor in the fight.

its purely speculation...

but imo its highly likely when you train for several hours 5 days a week...

Didn't add much if anything to the original point.

Kirk Hammett plays guitar 350 days a year.

Doesn't mean he's learned how to play drums.

😘

Colossus practices Judo 5 days a week.

Doesn't mean he's now a master of jujitsu.

thats just silly...

its colossus' responsibility to learn to fight...

it seems logical that he would try to improve his abilities...

never said he was, just that he probably knew enough to overcome thing...

You said he surely learned more by now, then said that he practices 5 days a week.

My post was merely stating that practising your own art for any length doesn't mean you're gonna be learning more.

that would be true in a lot of cases...

but he'd have wolverine as a teacher...
