He proved he is more durable by taking 3 punches from Juggy b4 getting knocked out, while Colossus got knocked out on the first punch Juggy landed.

Do you even read comics ? Honestly ?

Thing got THRASHED while fighting Juggernaut - can we call it a fight ? Colossus has held his own against Juggernaut (for a while) on more than one occasion.

Well, Thing has done a better job against Hulk than Colossus. I think it's more in terms of character association with one to another that a fight prolongs in the script.

thing took 3 punches from juggy before he fell, colossus only took one!

Before he fell ? It was one fast powerpunch after the other (duration of this so-called fight: maybe 2 or 3 seconds - if that).

Colossus and Logan got into a bar-brawl with Juggernaut and Peter
got knocked the hell out with one good punch. I know he's stronger
now, but Thing's fighting skills and determination are much greater.
He's shown this time and again. Can Colossus take on The Hulk
as many times and as long as Thing has on a hundred occasions?
no.

Taken straight from my Ultimate Guide to X-men: Updated Edition...

"At will, Peter Rasputin can convert his body into organic steel, making him nearly impervious to injury. He can survive an explosion of more than 400 lbs of TNT unharmed, and he can withstand heat of up to 12,000 degrees F."

"In his armored form, Colossus is by far the strongest of the X-men physically. Since joining the X-men he has reached his physical peak, and he can now lift weights over 100 tons, making him mighty enough to engage even Juggernaut in hand-to-hand combat."

"When Colossus transforms, even his eyes turn into organic steel, making them hard enough to survive the impact of a .45 caliber bullet!"

Word for word.

So not only is he durable against things other than elements, but he is might enough to tangle with Juggernaut.

Thing got knocked out in 3 punches against Juggernaut in a comic book that wasnt his, and the writer didnt portray him as very Thing like. Colossus was knock out by Juggernaut in his own comic on different occasions, but his writers, being x-men writers always made him look good doing it.

You have some nerve ! So whenever Things ass gets kicked by Juggernaut, it's crap writing, and whenever Colossus holds his own against Juggernaut, it's also crap writing ?!?

I remember Peter putting up a good fight, and definitely not "being knocked out with one punch". He lost the fight of course, but most people bite the dust against Juggernaut. Ask Thing 😉
now, but Thing's fighting skills and determination are much greater.

Fighting skills... maybe, very maybe.

But determination ? Peter is no quitter, to put it mildly.

Can Colossus take on The Hulk as many times and as long as Thing has on a hundred occasions? no.

Thing also has had his rocky ass kicked on a hundred occasions.

When I ask this, I mean it in a very civil way. I'd rather not start arguments and insulting again. Because well, that's just childish.

But please someone, preferably someone who is not voting for Thing (Only because it's hard not to get unbiased answers from certain supporters. I'm not being mean, it's a subconscious thing. We all do it), please tell me what these fighting skills are that he possesses? I'm very curious to know. Really.

I only ask because people tend to forget that Piotr does indeed have fighting skills himself, a number of them in fact. I mean, when some of the best fighters (Wolverine, Cylcops) give you fighting lessons, it tends to increase your ability to fight. By a lot.

Colossus seems to be a hell of alot more agilitive. He was doing backflips, cartwheels and somersaults when he fought Domina.

Ben Grimm grew up on Yancy street, fighting in gangs and all that...his big brother, a gang leader was killed when Ben was still just a kid. Then he was trained in the military (in a non-continuity mini-series, Ben Grimm and "Logan" worked as partners). Consequently, in the military he became a phenomenal tets pilot. Before ever becoming the Thing, Ben Grimm was already a very formidable fighter; thats why, when he lost his powers, he remained with FF just fighting fools with guns and his fists. I was never trying to say it was crap writing when Colossus held his own against Juggernaut! I was just saying his own X-Men writers know how to write his character. Thats why it was very befitting for Colossus to do as well as he did, he is a very determined hero. But the Thing is determined to another degree...thats why when he fought Champion, he kept going until it would kill him. He knew if he lost the Earth was Doomed, so he fighting til the death.

Like i said earlier, when Thing fought Occulus, who was more powerful than the Silver Surfer at the time, Occulus covered himself in a field covered with razor sharp energy spikes. Even though it was cutting his fists, the Thing kept going. The Thing is also highly resourceful. He fought the Avengers in the Avenger's mansion in FF volume 3 #27...he immediately started using their own facilities and powers against them. He fights them for a few panels, then u see wonderman get knocked through the whole mansion and Thing coming out and no Avengers following him. Instead of fighting Capt America, they decide to call a truce. There are tons of examples of the Thing taking on teams of people and using a strategy to beat them. Thing was the leader of the FF for a term, he is actually a really good strategist. And although he appears to be big and bulky, he has not lost any flexibilty or coordination from his increased volume, it explicitly says it in his bios...

How could he not lose flexibility? He litterally can't bend certain ways--the rock body of his would definitely hinder him in that area.

Thing would evetnually win.

um? and colossus' steel hard body wouldnt limit his flexibility?

Thing's skin is very durable but it is also flexible...

Colossus retains the same flexibility, because his body doesn't grow ridiculous protrusions of rock around his body/joints/limbs/etc. When Colossus transforms, his body ratio still stays the same. Yes, he does turn into steel, but he also gains height. 11 inches of it in fact. The height increase balances him out, giving him the same dexterity and flexibility that he has when he's not transformed.

Thing, on the other hand, gained a lot of rock around his body, and not in a very streamlined way either. He also doesn't acquire the additional height required to even himself out. I know that he did indeed grow, but not enough to equalize the ratio of his body. Especially at his joints and limbs, how could he be expected to say...scratch a spot on his back that he could normally reach before he transformed. It doesn't make sense. The only way it would work is if some of the stone that covers his body is soft and stretchy/giving. He simply can't still retain the same flexibility without his powers being negated in some way.

He was doing somersaults when he first fought Juggernaut in Uncanny #103.

Thing's skin is orange flexible and rock-like in appearance, its not actually rock...it is flexible however, read one of his bios.

collosus takes this one current one anyways
