If he's not actually rock, please explain as to how he takes the hits he does. If he was made of some other flexible material, he would be damaged much more than he is. And please explain as to why he sometimes chips off rock as if he were a large boulder? He has to be made of rock to perform some of the stunts he does.
Hey, I'm sorry. I want to retract my last post. I was wrong. Thing does indeed have flexible rock skin. Somehow. Dont' ask how that's true, but it is. Sorry to have doubted you Wynndar.
But in other news.
Both Thing and Colossus weigh 500 lbs. Colossus, however, towers over thing at 7'5" to Thing's 6'. I just remember someone saying that Thing was bigger. Their stats prove otherwise.
Both are basically at the same strength level. That is not a valid argument here.
Thanks for believing me about the rock thing. His skin is just really dense and mutated...earlier on he wasnt rocky at all....just lumpy...kinda like dinosaur skin...about the size thing, i was refering to how they r depicted in their respective art. Thing has generally looked much bigger then Colossus lately.
I know that picture you're talking about with Kitty. You must remember though, she is phasing into him. I have that whole picture myself. That would be the most inconstistant drawing ever if that were true. I think I have a more convincing picture somewhere.
Here we go, look how much bigger Colossus is than everyone else. Note that Angel is hovering off the ground.
Or in the other one. Look how freakin ginormous he looks.

i think thing is bulkier, colossus is taller...
Yes, very true. And both have the same amount of weight and power as well. So that previous argument made by someone else (not you) that because Thing is bigger, really isn't a valid claim at all.
I just wanted to point that out.
