Thing vs Colossus

Well thats a good point. But are u comparing that confrontation of Juggernaut to the confrontation between Juggernaut and Thing? I think u should elaborate them a little more. And if a class 70 Colossus could knock Juggernaut down dont u think the Thing could also in a similar scenerio? What fight with Sasquatch and Colossus r u refering to because i havent read it. And thing probably wasnt even considered class 80 when he fought Sasquatch, that same writer portrayed the Thing having trouble lifting one of Wonderman's 5 ton barbels.

Are Things eyes vulnerable?

If they are thats a weakness in a fight.

it was in uncanny x-men, around the #120 mark i think...

colossus was wrestling sasquatch, and sasquatch was stronger, so colossus used sasquatch's momentum against him and did a judo flip taking sasquatch down...

I used search and it didnt' come up, my bad. That thing is useless now, it searches for threads with the name of the char mentioned. It doesn't look for the thread names, its like google.

Thing and Sasquatch fought in Marvel-two-in one #83 I think.

Thing's eye's havent been shown to be particularly vulnerable...they r proportionately strengthed as any of his other tissues. Ive seen someone say colossus has been shot by a magnum in his eyeball but idk if thats true. Ive seen Mystique hit him in the face with a device that produced white hot heat, and that did appear to hurt his eyes.

Concerning the Thing's senses, the amount of stimulation that the Thing's senses can endure is highly elevated ie u generally cant hurt him with overstimulation like a sonic device, or a light that would normally blind other people wouldnt blind him...that is one thing his past bios have mentioned.

they say colossus' eyes have the ability to stop a magnum round... i dont know if they ever tried...

was that all the fight amounted to? Hmm...well in Thing's fight with him, they just beat on each other in the woods by themselves. The whole fight was an accident. Sasquatch did mention that he hadnt been through a fight like the one the THing gave him since he fought the Hulk. And it wasnt a win for sasquatch but a draw.

But like i said earlier that same writer depowered the sh!t out of the Thing, not far from that issue he showed the Thing barely able to lift Wonderman's 5 ton barbell.

it was when the x-men fought alpha flight... sasquatch seemed to be stronger but colossus outsmarted him and took him down...

Its easy to say he is class 100. But you have no proof. Colossus is stronger. Thats it.

Ben couldnt even beat Sasquatch. Colossus beat him down right around the same time Thing fought him.

Colossus went toe to toe with GLADIATOR all by himself. How did Thing fair against him?

The THING has on more than one occasion toyed with Sassy where there was no question who was the aggressor, so I'm not sure when your talking about. I'd like to see scans.

Colossus is either as strong or stronger than the Thing. And I am NOT knocking the Thing or anything like that, I like him a lot. One of my favorite powerhouses. But I do know that Colossus would be able to beat him. Strength isn't even the issue here, however.

Colossus has mad agility and endurance over Thing. And his body is much more durable than that of the Thing as well. Yes, Colossus's eyes will easily deflect a magnum bullet. I've never known Thing's eyes to be invulnerable, but I could be wrong.

One other thing that I have noticed through reading both FF and X-men, the Thing seems to need to eat, drink, and breathe, while Colossus needs not to do any of that while transformed. And he can stay in his transformed state for as long as he wants, until he wills himself back to normal.

The thing that is argued probably more than anything else, is fighting skill. I know that the Thing has great fighting ability, being an experienced fighter. And I also know that Colossus has been training hard for a number of years, a few decades actually, both in the Danger Room, and by VERY experienced fighters such as Cyclops and Wolverine.

So, again, I've never denied this would be a close fight, cuz it would. It would be almost as close as Juggernaut vs. Hulk, but not quite. In the end, there would be a victor, and that victor will be Colossus.

GREAT POST!! I'm leaning versus Colossus as well.

this one would be like a classic boxing match
the winner will be the one thats faster, stronger,
more experience, stamina and who has the better reach in a punch

Who knows, but Colossus is the issue here, and I think he has what it takes, but just barely. He has agility and endurance over the thing.

The only area thing betters Colossus in is in fighting skills, but then colossus is no chump by any means. He has been trained by the likes of Wolverine and regularly trains to improve his skills and strength further in the danger room. He is more durable than the thing, he doesnt need to breathe in his armoured form, he is stronger than the thing and also more agile. Id give it to him 6 out of 10 times with the things superior fighting skills giving him the remaining matches.
