OK. Hold up. Seeing as though almost EVERY single person is addressing something to me on this page...let me take time to answer them...First off all, I'm sure some fossils can tell a rough estimate of how old they are...but I'm sure that some cannot because of things that altered the fossils (such as my lava example) making it impossible for scientists to know the true date. But thank you, for disagreeing with me in a kind way...much appreciated Afro Cheese...but this time I have to disagree with you...The Bible if you believe it, says God created man, then animals...we were first after the Earth was created it says specifically...secondly, we didn't until not too long ago start naming Dinosaurs, thus they were either never named and came after the beginning or were named something different...I mean, dinosaurs are pretty much animals of different sorts...I mean look at an alligator or something...that could also be called a dinosaur or a turtle...which are very old...my point is that, dinosaurs could have lived during the Bible. They were just animals. The Bible doesn't list off every single animal there was...For all we know, if the Bible was true, Noah could have put two of every dinosaur that existed then. Or dinosaurs could have existed in a different part of the world, and not the middle east...Remember the Bible said God created the whole Earth with things...but started with people in what is believed to be Iraq now...so animals could have been spread all over the world...the Bible only has stories from the middle east and such...Or dinosaurs could have been after the time of the old testament...Evolution is just a theory, and in my opinion will remain just that...I think people will believe what they want to believe in finding things that they can relate to evolution...but you could also say that people are finding discovories that prove some things in the Bible true. Actually the Bible said that the Earth was round, when most believed it to not be. As for the "four corners' of the earth...that is clearly a metaphor...if you can't tell that...well, that's too bad...isn't it?

Now, as for Freak's comments. I AM still trying to debate...you make it sound as if your right and I'm wrong...well, we both have opinions which we believe...We all debate on here...that's the point of these forums and if your gonna complain about me going on, because you think that you told me the truth and I should stop talking, your wrong. Stubborn Christian? Dude, first off, I have told people on here that I am not fully sure I believe in the Bible, but that I defend its fakes against evolution...Which I don't believe is true...well, again depends on what form of evolution...to an extent its true, and beyond that its a theory. Christianity based on a lie? Again, stop trying to force things down my throat...That's your opinion. And yes, my class has told me that evolution is right. There's nothing to disprove about my volcano/tree theory....because it is true that that happened. And so scientists make mistakes and don't know how old everything truly is...You believe what you want, but I can also have my own opinion. This is America.

The New King James Bible does not say that God created human, then animals, and then animals and then humans...so clearly the site was wrong...So much for looking into your facts there eh "Freak"? I think the "four corners" thing was a metaphor, but that doesn't mean I think they knew the earth was round. Just wanted to clear that up. People did believe the earth was flat for most of humanity. Christopher Columbus wasn't the first to discover it was round, but he did reveal it to the world. Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't philosophers been executed by the church for suggesting that the earth was round and it wasn't the center of the universe?

Also, hunchy, I'm not sure I get what your talking about with the dinosaurs. They weren't named until recently because they weren't discovered by humans until recently. And it's very unlikely they lived and died during the age of the bible, because 1)we would've been around when they died, whether it be a big comet or whatever it was that killed them. and 2) it takes millions of years to form fossils. And on that note, it also takes millions of years to produce fossil fuels (natural gas, coal, oil) so if the earth was only a couple thousand years old, we wouldn't have any of those. The reason that we are running out of those resources now is a combination of it taking forever for them to form and us using them too quickly. If it only took a couple thousand years I think we'd have more than enough.

I want to correct you on something else Afro Cheese... the part of Columbus to discover it was round... the egyptians already knew this... the greek did... and despite popular knowledge they also knew this in the middle ages

Yeah I knew that I didn't know much about who actually knew first I was just saying it wasn't accepted by everyone until Columbus came along. Also I heard that the Vikings had been to America many times before Columbus they just didn't want to share it with anyone.

who did they had to share it with? the only talking they could do was after they got settled in Daneland perhaps but they had to do more battling then something else there

I really don't know. My teacher told us that, I didn't read a book on it or anything. To be quite honest I totally suck at history.

The Bible said that just so you know. Exactly, so if dinosaurs weren't discovered until recently, then they probably didn't live millions of years ago...Umm, the flood could have killed them off...and then the two that Noah brought if he did that is...could have died off soon after too...who knows? No one. It does not take millions of years to create fossils (did you listen to what I said about the lava/tree) that too a day to create a fossil actually...
