I think it's stupid....By the way, I live in Georgia....I mean, evolution is neccessary in some situations to learn about everything, you know? But my science teacher last year was really cool about it and talked about it anyway. She thought it was really retarded (her exact words 😂 ) so she taught it anyway. I highly doubt my next science teacher will be that loose about it, though....I seriously don't get Bush....He's a horrible president, in my opinion....😕
Omega, when i said that evolution cant be proven. I meant It cant be proven that evolution is the source of humanities immediate existence.Without the missing link humanities begining stays a mystery. It is probably better that way anyway. Obviously life evolves,or we would still be simple cavemen. I am not trying to question that. I am not even trying to argue the possibility of it. Infact Evolution is probably the answer to the past of humanity. I will still, however, always believe a greater design by a God.So i believe in both theories on how we became
Yessot> Isn’t that a matter of opinion? 😄
RagesRemorse> What do you mean “It can’t be proven that evolution is the source of humanity’s immediate existence?”
Evolution deals with a whole lot more than humans, which I’m sure you’re aware of. Are you telling me that you truly believe, that with all the evidence, you chose - because of one missing link – to disregard evolution as a whole? You are aware that not every dead animal becomes a fossil, right? That some fossil-sites haven’t been found yet? And that some are beneath the ocean?
If you agree that we once lived as cavemen, then you’re not a Creationist either. You don’t – as far as I can tell – adhere to the belief, that the Bible is to be taken literally, right?
Then you must accept that there is ZERO evidence, not even circumstantial, to prove any gods did anything. You can’t say that about evolution.
"the part about Bush isn't an opinion... it's a fact 😉"
Hear hear. *nods*
"Without the missing link humanities begining stays a mystery."
No, it doesn't. Scientists don't have to physically see the "missing link" to know that it must have existed. Just like you don't have to physically see God to know he exists, right? 🙂
I don't know that it was Bush's idea, because it was only in Georgia. And that's not the first time things like that have happened due to religious people pestering the school board... In the school district where my mom works (not the town where we live, but close to it), they celebrate Christmas in schools, but not Halloween, because the latter is "witchcraft".
