oh, dang, where do you live? Germany?

that's memberbashing TF 😛 😉

lol sorry just thought i'd take a wild guess 😛 😂

When I said the guy was weak for letting a movie change his mind, it's true. The movie shows only the last 12 hours of Jesus' life, not the "miracles" he performed, or the "forgiveness" he had towards all beings. Because it doesn't show any of these things, the guy could not have possibly been moved very much by that movie, unless he already knew anout the "miracles" of Jesus, and if so, this movie only gave him a reason to turn himself in. I think he was feeling guilty, and convicted, and by saying that a movie made him do it, it would get him fame that he otherwise wouldn't have had.

yeah(too long jeff didnt read the whole thing)

Hi I just watched this film tonight. It is very Gruesome and at times is very hard to watch, so I can understand all the contoversy about it. Although I have to say it I really enjoyed it and came away with a few things to think about.

original posted by AbercrombieSora I know people all have different opinions....but finti, do you think saying "I wouldn't mind see Jesus dying" was really that appropriate??..I think that was pretty rude

I never said I wouldnt mind see Jesus dying.
I said I would have no problem watching Jesus suffer and die over and over again, meaning I would have no problem watching Passion of Christ numerous times. The question at hand at the time this was posted was if someone seen the movie more than once.
And you can find it as rude or as inappropriate you want, I couldnt care less

The controversy isn't over the grusomeness. Hell, "House of 1,000 Corpses" was like 10X more gruesome than "The Passion." The controversy is over the message he is trying to get across and by doing so is polluting the mainstream.

what is the controversies about it?

He was executed according to the way the romans executed people those days. I dont find any contoversy with this story at all

you mean the controversy of jesus or the movie? 😖

The movie....not Jesus.

That was only one way the Romans executed people, and it was reserved for the most heinius acts. Emperor Caligula used to crucify people upside down for fun.

well Jesus was crucified for no good reason, he committed no crime.

Wasnt he accused of blasphemy?

Yes. He was crucified because the Jews believed he was a blasphemer.

Punker>While the movie may not have been made to only make money, that sure as hell was a big part of it. Mel Gibson did not just wake up one day and decide he needed to do this to proclaim his faith. I don't think he had selfish motives, but enlightening people as to what happened with Jesus of Nazareth was not his entire reason for making this film.

yes, because they did not believe that he was the son of God... sounds familiar

Sooner or later everybody has that thought in the back of there mind for doing something good Jeff.My bro is making a cd and just because he wants to touch people with his music doesnt mean he doesnt want the money.Kes he was accused of Blasphemy but he was wrongly accused.

And uh just in case your curious I was at church tonight and this preacher played a tape of hell.A few years ago russian scientist wear digging a hole(I forgot why)and they dug so deep they starting hearing sounds. So they used the sound equipment they had to pull the sounds from the ground. The tapes a little fuzzy but scary. No joke it was horrible listening to it.Everybody was in shock.
