I think the X-men have more heavy hitters than the JLA but there are some heroes in the league that could dust off the X-MEN single handedly before they put together their first strategy.
For example, the Flash could probably vibrate his hand through all of their brains before Xavier could call all of the X-MEN to action. The Flash isn't even a heavy hitter power wise.
IMO both teams could easily have a victory over the other and it's only a matter of circumstances.

Ok it's obvious we have alot of X-Fans here but that's alright. The real Supes would be able to handle the x-men no problem. I'm not talking about the red and blue sap they've watered down in comics and cartoons to make more interesting, I mean the REAL Superman. And who knows, maybe they can call in the Hal Jordan Spectre. The X-men better not pack lightly that day.
Oh and about the tights comment, I guess the X-MEN are cool now because their last movies looked like they were going to a biker convention 🙄 Superheroes wear tights so don't hate 😂

The x-men heros have gone up against foes that would rock supermans world in a mind boggling way, yet they always seem to hold there own, on there own when times call upon it. They were good in there TIME Say the 1960s' they were up there with Adam West's Batman, But Superman was almost unbeaten in the superfreinds.
Challage of the Superfreinds, Yes I got that vol on DVD, because I like the ideal of 13 super villians teaming up for evil, its great to watch, In the 16 shows of the challage of the Superfreinds, Superman did some amazing suff, like when Doom torn the moon apart, Superman mended it back.
He also got caught in a book, . They are ok. Like I said the Superfreinds were cool for the time it came.
