Why do people assume that Flash is a weak hitter when it comes to fights. People don't you know that the Force of an Impact is proportunal to the difference in mass and velocity of the two objects. These means that even a grain of sand can go through solid metal if one of the objects is moving fast enough during impact. I don't care if Collosus is made of solid steel if Flash hits him while he is at a very high speed he will knock him out, might even kill him if he uses his top speed.... I remember reading in a comic before that as Flash increases his speed he forms some kind of buffer barrier to protect him from the effect of his increased speed (friction/wind resistance/force exerted on his body), so while his attacks can damage his enemies his is not affected by it....

That is why I have stated before that unless someone (the psychics) takes out Flash quickly the X-Men will be in trouble.

P.S. Is Rouges ability to take other peoples power limited to Mutants or anyone with super powers... This is an important fact to consider...

Also which universe will the fight take place in? If it is Marvel Univerese then Flash cannot access the power he needs to run at high speed because the power is not present there... Just something to consider...

Yeah, but it's pretty uncommon for Superman to attack someone at top speed, knowing it may kill them (or thinking it at least). His speed's usually to get him from point A to point B, it's rare (from my point of view at least) to see Supes use his speed along with attacks. And his speed is pretty much straight foward too, no where near as complicated as Flash's.

Ok, i am a fan of the X-men. I do however take into consideration greatly the abilities of the JLA. I like the JLA. However there abilities at first seem greater than the X-men, but with a closer look it is infact the JLA that are outnumbered and overpowered. Both of these teams are just tha,t teams. However the x-men's strength comes not from a single hero, but the combination of team efforts the entire team using tactics. The JLA rely more on single abilities that are mixed into a team. Yes they are a powerfull team that work together, but not to the extent that the x-men work together.

First off you have three of the most powerfull telepaths comic books have ever seened. Xavier, Phoenix,Psylocke. Yes martian is a powerfull telepath, i never said that. He just cant compare to these three's abilities. How do i know this? Compare the actions and achievments each have done. The Phoenix.I mean i dont think i should have to lay out examples, but if you want me to i will. I would assume that the x-men would match up their most powerfull characters against the Jla characters. Also there flying heros agaisnt the JLA flying heros. this would be Phoenix, Rogue, Archangel,and storm against Wonderwoman, Green lantern, and Superman. Now granted without Phoenix this comparison would be considerably outmatched twords the JLA side, but without sUpes And phoenix this match would be dead even. I never even chose to bring in the fact that rogue has the ability to absorb power diddnt think i would need to.Even if she diddnt use this ability she could hang with superman for a while and dish out a few hits for supes to remember. Storm Is one of the most powerfull mutants and her abilities would make fighting in flight very hard for the JLA members.

Now to Phoenix, this chic has invaded the minds of numerous mutants to turn their will against legion, manifested energy blasts to hold off sentinals,maintained an energy feild around her and jubilee all the while trying to break through legions mental barrier. this isnt even the most impressive act she has performed, nor the most powerfull example of her powers. I am more than positive that Phoenix could invade supes mind to shut it off. It doesnt matter if he waits around for this or not, she could still gain controll or entrance of his mind in flight. Now superman and Phoenix would be a well fought match, but seeng how Supes is defenseless to telepaths this match and obvious win for phoenix.

He may also extend his hearing into the infra and ultrasonic ranges. How his senses can be so acute and so excellently calibrated is as yet unknown.

Superspeed: Superman is capable of enhanced reflex action and the ability to move at incredible speeds by sheer force of will. He is not quite as fast as the Flash and cannot achieve lightspeed under his own power, but can reach a high speed percentage of lightspeed in normal space. 99% of lightspeed, superman is the second fastest speedster on earth Superman can match most other speedsters in their ability to perform superfast movements, reactions, and processes. it is an ancient Kryptonian discipline that works by shifting the user's consciences into a higher (Theta) state so that he can fight an enemy in a purely mental realm. Superman has yet to fully master this

Superhuman strength: It is obvious her strength is magical in nature, given her height and weight. Her strength is near the order of SupermanÕs or Captain MarvelÕs. With her superhuman strength and superior fighting abilities, she has proven to be a match for either one of them at one time or another. Her strength level has been augmented in the past with the Gauntlet of Atlas

Superhuman Reflexes: Wonder Woman possesses reflex abilities similar to lower-level speedsters such as Jesse Quick and Max Mercury, somewhere in the range of 8 to 20 times normal human reflexes with concentration. She, however, does not maintain her enhanced speed awareness due to the temporal difficulties such thinking causes her. she is faster than Hermes the Deity of speed and messenger of the gods

Flight: Wonder Woman is capable of unassisted flight through an as yet unknown but probably magical means. She has been clocked at Mach 3 (2,100 mph, 35 miles per second) in flight and can be presumed to be much faster if she wanted to be. Golden Lasso of Hestia/Girdle of Gaia: Made of an unknown golden metal, supposedly from the Girdle of Gaia, the Lasso is approximately 150 feet long and has successfully restrained Superman, Ares and Hades within its coils. It seems to be under the telekinetic control of Diana and she has used it upon occasion as a means of subduing or restraining opponents. It has over the years been claimed to have special powers that force anyone within its coils to tell the truth, but that has not been substantiated.

Indestructible Bracelets: Wonder Woman possesses two bracelets forged by Haephestes (all Amazons wear them) of an unknown material. As a feat of speed and reflexes, Amazons use these bracelets to deflect projectiles, she can also create an invisible shield with them

MARTIAN MANHUNTER

The Martian Manhunter is possibly the most powerful extra-terrestrial living on the Earth today . His array of powers and abilities equals and in some cases exceeds even the Man from Krypton's powers. His physical powers are not quite the equal of Superman's but he makes up with mental abilities, invisibility, and shapeshifing abilities, making him a much more capable operative in covert operations. He has Highly developed detective skills & Advanced reasoning and logic capabilities

The Martian's physiology would seem to be composed of a complex molecular chain that resembles polymer bonds but with the ability to be altered at will. The mass cannot be affected but the color, relative shape, (as long as its relatively humanoid) and size, (nothing smaller than 4 feet), imitating even clothing if desired. The bio-polymer is extremely flexible, durable, incredibly strong for a biological material and apparently self-sustaining. No one has ever seen the Martian Manhunter eat, except for reasons of politeness

Super Strength: The Martian's superhuman strength comes from his plasmorphic structure formed from immensely long and complex molecular chains, augmented with his psionic and telekinetic abilities allowing hi By modifing the density of these bio-polymers, the Manhunter can make himself stronger by forcing the polymers into tighter bundles.

he could match Superman pound for pound for about a minute. Then the bio-polymer would begin to suffer under the strain and begin to unravel. While the Manhunter's strength can be on par with Superman and he lacks the long term endurance and stamina of the Kryptonian. This probably has to do with the Kryptonian's storage and creation of MetaATP which the Martian biology would not have developed being so far from the Earth's sun.

Flight: The Martian Manhunter flies by manipulation of gravitons (a subatomic particle associated with the force of gravity) manipulation of magnetic fields and control of his absolute molecular movement (a telekinetic effect). These combine to give him the ability to fly great distances with little fatigue and at great speed. He has been seen to fly at speeds up to 10 times the speed of sound in the Earth's atmosphere. Speeds faster than this cause great environmental damage and are avoided unless absolutely necessary. Not needing to breathe, his bio-polymorphic skin and overall toughness make these speeds bearable and cause him no lasting injury. The Manhunter has also been seen to fly in space with no difficulty. Noting his methods of flight, he should be able to be detected with any technolgy that can detect graviton emissions.

Martian Vision: The actual nature of this power seems to vary depending on the reports. It has been seen to be a bolt of force, directed by the Manhunter's eyes causing considerable damage, equivalent to 50-100 lbs of TNT. It has also been seen to cause flammable objects to catch fire. The range of this power is also unknown but has been seen to be effective at ranges of 500 feet or more.

Limited Shapeshifing Abilities: The most incredible of the powers of the Manhunter is the ability to shapeshift. He is able to literally control the molecular structure of his body's bio-polymer and make it resemble anything he wants. He can form clothing, weapons with nonmoving or nonfunctioning parts (so he could form a sword from his body's mass and it would work, but a gun would not, unless he was carrying some ammunition with him.) There does not seem to be any limit to the number of people the Manhunter can imitate and has stood in as a double for many famous people. His ability to imitate people and their mannerisms has stood him in good stead for his disguises (not to mention that his telepathy helps him get a disguise to be as authentic as possible, since he can pull the information directly from the mind of whomever is viewing him) Invisibility: The Manhunter can cause the bio-polymers in his body to lose their abililty to reflect light, rendering the Manhunter invisible to normal light and human sight. With more increased concentration, he can render himself more invisible along the electromagnetic spectrum, including the infrared and the ultraviolet ranges of the spectrum.

Intangibility: No physical explanation of this power make sense except that it is an aspect of his psionic powers shifting his mass into another dimension or out of vibrational phase with other objects in this dimension

Telepathy: He is able to read the mind of any normal human with no difficulties, he can even read their subconscious mind as well, He can use his telepathy on anyplace in the world. This telepathy extends to distances as far away as the moon, since it is known that the Martian Manhunter can communicate with Earth with his telepathy, In addition to reading minds, the Martian Manhunter can literally reprogram the mind of a subject or subjects into believing whatever he wants them to. He can use this ability to help subjects forget things that he does not want them to remember as well as set up post-hypnotic suggestions. How long such mental conditioning lasts is unknown, he can shut minds, he can also produce these telepathic abilities on a subatomic level.

Thought Sensing: The Manhunter can use the mental signature of a being to track it and can detect lifeforms by their empathic as well as telepathic signatures. He can detect whether a being is intelligent and can communicate with it empathically if it does not have a communication driven frame of reference for normal telepathy to function with. He can also detect various states of mind from anywhere in the world of the general populace in that area

Telepathic Relay: the Manhunter is able to use his telepathic prowess as a relay station for a group of minds, who can then "speak" to each other through him.

Telepathic Assault: The Martian Manhunter can also use his telepathic abilities in an offensive manner. He has the ability to cause mental shutdown in a target or targets using his mental powers. unless the target possesses high mental powers of their own, do not seem to be able to resist the attack. The Manhunter does not use this power often due to the invasive nature and harshness of such a telepathic attack.

The Flash:
There is little doubt today that Wally West is considered to be the fastest living things on the face of the Earth. There are a few superhumans who can sustain levels of superhuman speed on par with the Flash. Superman, Captain Marvel, and Impulse can reach speeds that can compare with the Flash, but few other than Impulse have the wide range of powers available to the Flash.

Speed Force Aura: The Flash's body is surrounded by what he calls his "speed force aura". This aura protects him and anyone who is running with him or carried by him, from the effects of using his speed. This includes friction and airborne particulate matter.It may also protect him from injury from high speed impacts such as punches he delivers and receives from his opponents. He does seem to possess some level of superhuman resistance to injury.

Molecular Control: The Flash's powers allow him to perform a number of speed-related feats. The Flash has always possessed the ability to control his speed and angular momentum at the MOLECULAR level, and control his molecular interactions to allow his body to pass through any substance. There have been only a few superdense materials that the Flash has not been able to penetrate with this power.His power allow him to run along the surface of bodies of water and up the sides of buildings

ncreased Perceptions: The Flash possesses the ability to alter his perceptions so that falling objects can appear to be standing still and can be caught and moved back to their normal position.

He can do this so quickly as to have it happen invisibly to the normal human eye. The Flash's reaction time is so increased as to perform feats of speed such as removing the momentum from bullets and fast moving objects thrown at him or at others.

Supercharged Brain Activity: The Flash's mental abilities are also increased in speed, simple computations can be done at lightning speeds, and his ability to perform normal feats at increased speeds has allow him to build hundreds of force field generators in a matter of hours, move sandbags to cover a beach or search an entire area for something as small as a paper clip. Wally can also read as superspeed, but rarely takes advantage of his ability to learn at increased speeds, although, Jay Garrick has done so and has become a jack of all trades in several disciplines and languages.

Wally can approach the speed of light, and doing so, enters the Speed Force dimension. If he chooses to continue to run at light speed, he can use the Speed Force dimension for a form of haphazard Time Travel.

Sharing the Force: Since his interaction with the Speed Force, he may also lend his speed and angular momentum to another object or person. This may allow others to run alongside with the Flash. He may still allow his molecular structure to pass through object but now after he passes through an object, the object is now supercharged with a chaotic energy, and explodes seconds after his passing through it. His range of powers seems to have been increased significantly and he is now the fastest Flash to have ever lived. If he shares the Speed Force with another meta with superspeed capabilities such as Superman, that metahuman can now exceed the speed of light but does not become aware of the Speed Dimension.

Speed Feats: The Flash can also perform a variety of superspeed feats such as:

He can strike a single opponent hundreds of times in a second or multiple opponents two or three times in a second.
He can disarm, or jam any number of opponents weapons before they are even aware of his movement.
Hurl small projectiles at hypersonic velocities.
Pluck speeding projectiles from the air.
The creation of wind based vortecies that can act as barriers to movement, funnels for toxic gasses, or vacuum chambers.
He can spin his arms to create directed funnels of hurricane speed air that can knock down barriers or reduce the speed of a falling object. Now with his control of inertia, he can probably reduce the speed of a falling object directly by applying the speed force in reverse, to leech momemtum from the object.

He can run across bodies of water, up the sides of buildings, and by spinning like a helicopter, he can even perform a limited kind of flight. Since his power is a quantum/molecular phenomenon, it is theoretically possible for the Flash to be able to fly just as other metas do, (and there have been other flying speedsters in the past, such as the deceased Johnny Quick,) because he can control his absolute molecular energy and direction and force it in the direction he wished to move without running.
He can also impart molecular energy to a target to increase molecular movement, as he did against the water being called Flow, boiling him into steam for a short time.

Aquaman:

Marine Telepathy: Aquaman has the ability to communicate directly with sea life and has done so throughout most of his life. Lately he possesses a greater range of control that can actually force sea creatures to obey his whims. Currently, he requests their assistance and they comply. He has chosen to continue to request since, if he forces them to comply, they will ultimately lose respect for him. He now also has access to a quantum field phenomenon called "the Clear". "The Clear" quantum phenomenon has been observed with the subject called the Swamp Thing who called it the Green or the Morphogenic Field of Animal Man (also called the Red). Aquaman is also an accomplished telepath in general and can perform such telepathic feats as mind to mind communication, mind probes, mental domination of a non-aquatic mind, and mental attacks. The potency of such mental domination is unclear but he has been seen to use his powers to great effect against the White Martians and Doctor Polaris.

Access to "the Clear:" Aquaman has the ability to sense the primal emotions of aquatic creatures through "The Clear".The Clear seems to function as a universal consciousness of all sea life. Via it he can communicate or command sea life on the other side of the planet. He can see what they see and much more what he is only beginning to realise. He can also push his telepathic powers to reach out to the higher land creatures to find that element of their brains that was once an aquatic dwelling creature. This may account for Aquaman's facility with language.

Sonar Location: A sonar power which allows Aquaman to detect things when blinded. A possible side effect of his gift from Posidon or from the nature of his advanced mental powers, Aquaman can use this sonar-like sense to detect objects much as a dolphin might. The range of this power is unknown.

Enhanced Physiology: Aquaman possesses superhuman strength on the order of 150 times human maximum (assuming a human max of 750 lbs, meaning approximately 60 tons), but his strength is always underrated, considering the company that he keeps.

While not on the order of Wonder Woman's or the Martian Manhunter's, his strength is more than a match for most common barriers such as wood, common metals, brick or concrete walls. Only steel reinforced barriers have a serious chance of slowing him for any length of time. Aquaman has a limited level of durability, making him resistant to injuries that could kill a normal man.

Green Lantern Kyle Rayner

Known Superhuman Powers: Kyle Rayner possesses the normal strength and stamina of a human who engages in moderate regular exercise. He has no superhuman abilities outside of the use of the ring.

Weapons: Green Lantern's ring, considered by some to be one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe, has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. It is also theorized that the ring also has a basis in other dimensional energies commonly called magic by users of such energies. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.The ring worn by Kyle Rayner, possesses numerous powers and abilities. Some of those abilities include:

Force Construct Creation: The ring is capable of creating a field of force, that based on the will of the user, is capable of resisting energy discharges

and physical energy transfers. This field is generally used to create constructs such as barriers or walls to block or support other structures or forces.

Damage Resistant Aura: This life sustaining aura protects the ring wearer from harm. In space, it generates a field of life sustaining atmosphere and protection from harmful radiation, even if the wearer is unconscious. In earlier versions of the rings, the wearer was believed to be able to resist any attack that was not immediately mortal. The only exception to that was attacks based on the color yellow. The newer version of the ring, of which there is only one, is not limited by the color yellow, but does not protect the wearer as efficiently as the earlier version did.

Force Projection: The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. Kyle generally uses fanciful constructs in the shape of advanced technology. Their appearance does not indicate the power of the weapon. The weapons power is more an indication of the will of the user. Certain users (i.e. Hal Jordan) have been powerful enough to stagger even Superman.

Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, Green Lantern has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, usually within a bubble, his speed is limited to the twice the speed of sound or 1440 mph.

nterstellar Flight: In space, Green Lantern's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 80% of lightspeed in normal space. The ring has the ability to create wormholes and space warps that allow for greater distances to be travelled in less time. Oa, which was rumored to be at the center of the known universe, was said to be able to be reached by a Green Lantern in only a few days of space warp travel.

Limited Cellular Regeneration:This ring has a limited ability to heal physical injuries and this seems to be a feature held over from the previous incarnations of the ring. Green Lantern can use the ring to repair minor injuries in himself or others. Speculation has been rendered to wonder if Kyle actually had medical knowledge, that he would be able to cure a wider variety of dysfunctions, beyond normal physical injuries.
Electromagnetic Scanning: The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If Kyle can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance, seem to be beyond the scope of the ring. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, television, infrared, ultraviolet, and high frequency band communications.

BATMAN

Batman is a trained scientist, escape artist, detective and inventor.

Batman began his physical and mental conditioning when he was 11.
Began intense physical training and weight lifting at age 12.
Trained in the US for various martial arts for 3 years.
Gained degrees in criminal science, forensics, computer science, chemistry and engineering by the time he was 16.
Became 2st and 3nd degree black belt in Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido by the time he was 17.
Trained and became proficient with all small arms and basic vehicles operations.

By the time he was 18 he:

Studied commando style operations with small mercenary units.
Left US to further study martial arts under specialized masters.
Other skills: knife throwing, escrima, melee weapons mastery, body control
Other skills: disguise, diverse environmental training, combat driving, savate, kungfu
Other skills: security systems, illusion/sleight of hand, blind fighting

By the time he was 24 he had expanded his studies for more advanced:

forensic and medical sciences
expanded computer and engineering sciences
expanded disguise and weapon/device sciences
expand device pool, improve vehicle designs
use of personal powered armor and systems.
continual physical training in Batcave facility.
database creation on underworld crime bosses, rogue's gallery foes and other supers.
expanded melee weapon techniques
improved material sciences for body armor and micro-machinery

Skills and Powers: With few exceptions, the non-metahuman known as the Batman is a superbly trained and highly experienced fighting machine. Mastering the world's most lethal martial arts disciplines, he is considered to be one of the best martial artist in the world.
Batman maintains the physical stature of a man in perfect physical condition and he constantly trains his physical abilities, strength, agility, reflexes and coordination until they reach mythical proportions for a human. Starting at a very young age, Batman conditioned his body with physical regimes such as strength conditioning, martial arts, yoga and biofeedback. These years of intenstive training have allowed him to become and remain one of the most physically capable men on Earth.

He may bench press approximately 725 pounds and is the near-equal or equal of the world's best athlete in any Olympic event. Batman is a ruthless combatant and fights with an unothodoxed mixture of styles that incorporate techniques from other cultures, mixed with the weapon styles of his uniform. These include batarangs, razor-wings and grappling lines. Batman is also an accomplished night fighter and is capable of fighting in an obscured or poorly lit environnment.

Batman has no singlular weapon of choice, instead he relies on a bevy of devices to supplement his needs at any time. With proper preparation, Batman carries a wide assortment of support devices.

The most common are: An infrared flashlight used in conjuction with his infrared lenses in his cowl, a short-term rebreather, a remote access vocal command processor for his computer and communications, a powerful laser cutting torch, smoke and tear gas grenades, batarangs and razorwings for attack, a grapnel line for swinging and tying up foes and a glider cloak that can be used to glide short distances or remove momentum from a fall. He also carries a small forensic kit for detective work and a series of lockpicks and security skeleton cards for simple to advanced security locks.

Batman wears a suit of superlight ballistic fibre proof against low to medium caliber firearms. His cowl is armored, lead lined and his cape is also bulletproof, fire retardant and water resistant. Batman also possesses a number of other suits that he can tailor to his needs. He also possesses a suit of powered armor.

Vehicles
Batman has a multitude of vehicles for his one man war on crime. His primary vehicle, the Batmobile is a modified jet aircraft that has an armored car built around it. It is capable of speeds of 200+ miles per hour, 300+ with an afterburner. Batman also has a variety of terrain vehicles, gliders, small aircraft and watercraft as well, such as speedboats and submersibles for covert operations. He also keeps a modified stealth aircraft that he uses in conjuction with the Justice League. It was destroyed recently in conflict with the Martians but will probably be replace soon with something more advanced. All of Batman's vehicles are resistant to small arms fire and designed to be a durable and maintenance free as possible. Alfred and Harold maintain any vehicles that Batman himself does not have time to keep up. All of the vehicles have microwave connections to the Batcave and to Oracle for data upload or download. All of the equipment can also be driven or controlled by voice or can be designated to autoreturn in the event that Batman is injured.

Batman halso has a telepathic inhibitor built in in his cowl to prevent any telepathic attaks

I dont know man, i just can't see it happening. superman yeah, ok i know he's strong, but his mental abilities are crap compared to to the X-mens, i mean really. Are you trying to argue that superman has telepathy abilities, far greater than Psylocke , phoenix and xavier?

And it is MY OPINION that the DC characters are overpowered....so! I still read and enjoy their comics but damn!

Damn, someone's been doing their homework, lol. Well at least he had the sense to look it up before making any kind of decision unlike most of the people on here. And he's not really attacking Rage, looks to me like he's just putting the JLA's abilities out there, since we all pretty much know what the X-Men can do, but very few people actually know all the abilities of the JLA, they just assume on what they see them do often. Anyways, I knew the GL's had some kind of defense from telepaths, cause I heard it before but didn't know the details. Kyle may not be able to deal, But John Steward can at least. And it doesn't surprise me that Batman's already thought up a defense to telepaths. Anyways, I do agree with something that was said earlier; you can't assume that Xavier's gonna be a part of this fight. He doesn't actively participate in every mission, he has occasionally, but not many. He'd probably leave this fight to his people, and if it were absolutely nessesary make his way there. That's just my view on it though.

What do you want me to give you a link to a d.c marvel encyclopedia or somthing? Its not hard to find info on these characters if you search hard enough, i personally believe those friggin encyclopedia's are what is killing comics. Writers are pressured into writing certain things because of them , and that has been known before. Batman is having a badass run with his comics but of course the master has returned, and this comic online bullcrap , what is that?

I could look for most of that sh*t, but I have neither the time or the patience to be looking all day or night for most of those. Why waste time looking for something anyways when you simply get it from someone who already has it? The info kelex put looked interesting to me and I just wanted to look through it myself, is there any problem with that?
