When Eclipso used it on Superman, he was lying on the collapsed rooftop for a couple frames. In fact, he laid there until the end of the comic.

Kryptonite takes away Superman's powers. Red Sunlight hurts him.

What crossover?

Silver Surfer/Superman?

I believe it's the one that involved Darkseid and Galactus.

I thought he used his superspeed and took off so fast it impressed Eclipso.

In Action Comics #826?

Nope. He lies in the rubble of the collapse rooftop, looking up at Eclipso. The comic ends with Eclipso telling Superman that he is going to take over Superman's body.

Yea read the next issue Adventures of Superman #638 while laying on the ground he jetted out of there so fast it impressed Eclipso.

I believe Eclipso says "hes fast when he wants to be"

It's Adventures of Superman 639.

Superman's speed might help him against Eclipso, but certainly not against the Silver Surfer. I know red sunlight doesn't take away Superman's powers, but I also know that it hurts him, and it can pass through his bio-matrix. Power cosmic blasts attuned to the frequency of red sunlight could be used to great effect against Superman.

I don't recall Eclipso saying that. Did you read the comic?

I don't recall Superman ever surviving a planet destroying blast. The Imperiux Probes were not capable of detonating planets, and Superman needed the power of Kismet to destroy Imperiex himself. Surfer destroyed a planet rather easily when he fought Korvac, not to mention it was one that was magnetized towards him. I don't think Superman would survive a planet destroying blast, especially one attuned to the frequency of red sunlight.

Yea I did. He does indeed say something on those lines.

I just rechecked and he says "Damn. He can move when he reallly wants to..."

And this was right after a huge blast from red sunlight.

I think we can scratch red sunlight off Surfers way of victory list.

Not just yet. Eclipso hit him with a normal red sunlight blast, not a huge one, and it put Superman down for a couple frames. A blast of the power cosmic attuned to the frequency of red sunlight that is capable of destroying a planet would kill Superman.

Can you describe this huge blast of red sunlight?

Which one?

There was more than one.

Im sure you read it. 😉

Dude relax. I think you take this debate stuff too seriously.

A red sunlight blast is a red sunlight blast. You cannot amp up a sunlight blast. Cause it is not a concussive shot.

Its sunlight. Its not meant to destroy.

I didn't say a red sunlight blast. I said a power cosmic blast that is capable of destroying a planet, particularly one attuned to the frequency of red sunlight.

Are you talking about Action Comics #826, or not?

No in AOS #639.

Did you read AOS #639?

He can. That's how he reached DC's universe in the crossover. Dimensional warping is one of Surfer's many powers.

He reached the other universe through Parallax power, not his own.

I was talking about Action Comics #826. After being hit by the blast, Superman lies on the collapsed rooftop until the end of the comic.

I'm not talking about SS vs GL.

Your right on that.

But did you read the follow up in AOS #639?

The red solar power technique did not work too well on Superman.
