This means Thor actually uses Moljnir to is full potential rather than just hitting crap with it and fights like he is like he is the son of a Skyfather who has spent centuries in intense training for Ragnarok. And Surfer acts like he is the true herald of the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus, and weilder of the Power Cosmic who shows no mercy.

Surfer , he fires a single blast at thor which causes his molecules to disperse....

thor, theyr practically the same as far as power levels go, surfer is a bit more flexible but thor is more powerful in specific things, but thor takes normal damage from power cosmic, while magic IS one of the few things that surfer has no resistance to whatsoever{it can make him bleed} so thor wins cause of the mystic advantage.

you see, he's got this pesky hammer that gets in the way of that kind of stuff . . . the classic speedblitz is his best option, but since that is unavailable (as it should be in ALL half-decent debates) . . .

ss blasts, thor absorbs and KEEPS absorbing, without letting ss free, until he has drained ss completely or nearly so at which point he kills him with a single hammer shot.

Tough call. Surfer 2/3.
Thor generally does not fight airborne; SS does. This automatically gives SS a speed advantage (which does not necessarily mean blitzing).
Thor typically fights with fists and hammer-throwing; storm-building and whatever magic he wields will likely not be used until he sees the need for them (and by then it might be too late).
SS is more versatile, has cosmic awareness, and he does not need his board to do things, the way Thor needs his hammer.

That's a good fight but Thor wins 7/10. But with the Odinforce he's nigh-omnipotent and would win 10/10.

Thor wins. SS has never speedbiltz anyone, he has never used fighting/reflexive speeds in combat, I've only seen him fly very fast, like Thor with Mjolnir. Thor can absorb SS energy blasts, making SS fight h2h, which Thor will most likely come out on top.

The hell? Head of JLAKMC going AGAINST the speedblitz? Damn.

All in all, I really think there's a line where speedblitzability stops and power should really determine the outcome.

This is not one of those instances. Silver Surfer has close the best feats of both reflexes and speed in comics. It isn't a common tactic, as the people he fights would either get owned terribly if he used it, or it wouldn't make a difference because he is so much LESS powerful than the other guy. However, he's been shown reacting in microsecond times one too many times for me to ignore it. This is the equivalent of Flash vs. Quicksilver. Thor's not slow, but Flash is so much faster than him that it really doesn't matter. Their power levels are almost dead even, but Surfer is an absolute buttload faster than Thor.

Surfer owns him terribly. Fastest hero in comics, and one of the most powerful in base form.
