Surfer's taken on, and survived, entities far and away above Skyfather, Thor's just not that much of a danger in comparison.
and if we go by recent showings, well ... Teneberous and Aegis are definitive proof that Thor couldn't take Surfer out, no matter what he does. unless somehow the GodBlast has suddenly been upgraded to Galactus levels.

I was just ck.ing on the stats at marvel.com. Both look impressive. Apperently Thor took a loss when he got his ability to time travel taken away from him.
Surfer i just learned can augment his strength to near incalculable levels.
Thor's stats are solid though. I also just learned that Surfer's board can imprison his oppoents...BIG PLUS.

True but thor was in W. madness in one of the fights and the seond fight was ages ago. I think there is also a fight were hulk knocked surfer on his ass that happened around that time. Surfer is really better than thor in nearly every aspect

I think ive seen thor use a forcefield before but certainly no on the level of surfers fields and r u talking about using mjolnir to literalyy block attcaks or absorb enrgy from attacks?

Well, to list some of his recent feats.
He was able to survive Durok the Demolisher's suicide blast, without Mjolnir. He stopped the Destroyer's beam not long ago.
