too japanese?? i hope you know that anime originated in japan, therefore it cant be "too japanese" if anything, alot of anime is too american. i hope you arent saying the Dragonball series had a better storyline than all other anime. Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, and .hack//sign all have better stories than Dragonball. F*ck how well they sold. most of the people i know that bought all the DBZ shit are pre-pubescent schoolboys.
DBZ was overated but to be fair it's what started a lot of people down the anime road, and until GT it was a decent series but the most overated piece of shit ever made is Pokemon. I mean This was merchindising in it's most extreme form. And I am ashamed that I used to disgrace my T.V with it's shitness

i hate the shows, but you gotta respect the cmpanies. They are so smart. I mean, if they can get so many people into one show, they have my respect. I might not like the product, but they are smart businessmen.
I can't repeat myself more. DBZ is the most overrated show of all time. The story line is the same no matter what saga or whatever. It's the SAME!!! they only change the villains. And it's so cheesy too. I really hate that show. explain to me how it can be considered not overrated.
yea even being a fan of DBZ im gonna be flat out honest that was really overrated, i mean it was cool the fightin n crap like that but then came the toys the shirts crap like that, and it just sort of blew it way outta proportion, its a good anime but not as great to the extent that it was taken to.
