Overrated anime

OHHH ITS VERY OVVERRATED.I can;t begin to tell you of the freaks me/my friends see who eat,sleep/breathe Inuyasha.Or the ones who don't like anyt anime BUT Inuyasha.Its sad.Even if you like it,its easy to admit its pretty overrated as long as youv'e seen enough anime IE lots of anime are better than it.

DBZ is quite possibly the most overrated anime ever. The original Dragonball was okay~ it wasn't all that bad, and the characters still looked slightly human. (Except maybe Tien.) But DBZ had a very thin storyline, which repeated itself over and over and over... GT is just a joke.

Inuyasha is a little overrated... I only saw what they aired on CN, which is under 50 eps~ and I think the storyline is starting to get a little old now. The show is still being produced in Japan (hell, the MANGA is still being produced), and it's at at least 150 eps. It's becoming a feudal era DBZ, in my opinion.

Rurouni Kenshin is a little bit overrated, but not that much~ I honestly don't know that many people who watch it. I think the problem is that it had a good fanbase before it ever officially came to the US, and when CN started airing it, it gained hordes of new fans (who had probably never watched anything but the dub), and they tried to revive the series. (That all being said, RuroKen is my favorite anime. ^_^)

Yu Yu Hakusho is overrated, too... in my opinion, it's not that great of a series, and the plotline consists of - basically - fight the enemy, almost die/REALLY die, be brought back, etc., etc., etc. Like DBZ with spirit guns. (And a little Yusuke-Keiko fluff.)

[EDIT] Oh, I forgot Pokemon. 😘 It's almost as overrated as DBZ, though it's aimed for kids who'll eat up the merchandise~ and they do. In my opinion, it's not even all that great a kids' show... and they've even got new Gameboy games out, so I don't think it'll stop. I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon reaches 400 eps, if it hasn't already. [/EDIT]

I really should agree strong about pokemon being overrated. Even though their cute and all, but whats the point of the story any way, their just beating up and capturing other pokemons so whats so special about that? 😬

Do you guys put Vampire Hunter D as a over rated or under rated??

I do like both movies and they are my favor Anime of all time But I think people dont know about the powers of D who is better than Vanhellsing or Blade, and ten times better than Buffy

DEFINITELY the Dragonball series is one of the most overrated anime I've ever seen...it's so repetitive!!! (and you people actually watching GT on Cartoon Network...just a warning, in case you didn't already know, they cut out the entire first part of the series, about 5-6 episodes I think.)

Pokemon -- biggest merchandising scheme EVER. I never got into the show, thankfully.

Inuyasha -- the manga's cool, but the anime's not that great. (my sister would kill me if she saw that)

i don't know if it's been said, but i gotta say, X/1999. I hated that! I know it's not too popular,but I hate it. and Azumanga Diaoh. What the heck were they sniffing when they wrote that?! that was stupid! I'm sorry, but seriously, that show had to have been made while everyone was high, cuz it's pointless, stupid, and totally random. I guess you could say that about FLCL, but seriously, that is so much better than this. Ugh! I hate it!!!

anyway, those are a few. and, though i love it, Cowboy Bebop is too. Akira also.

I have to say akira. i thought it was good but not mind blowingly brilliant as a lot of people made it out to be.

Ghost in the Shell broke my heart...overrated

I think Fushigi Yuugi is overrated... it seems like a crappy version of Inuyasha. I love Inuyasha, but not just because cartoon network plays it. I didnt even know it was on cartoon network until like 3 months ago O.o I just dont understand while people are hyped about Fushigi Yuugi, I mean it is an alright anime but I never really liked it

Actually FY is a better version if Inuyasha,It was made first,ect.BTW the anime is terrible...REALLY bad,the manga kicks arse!

Its not really a guy thing anyway.....Not enough fighting.Theres more character/plot development.It dosen't waste its time wit all the pointless fighting>_<

TT how can you say they suck???? They have Raven, Robin and BeastBoy, one of the best cartoons there is, but I wont say they use the anime art, They mix and match a bit anime and Batman TAS art as one. Just my guess any way.

The only reason why Dragonball Z/GT is so Overrated is because so many people like it. its a good show and u cant compare it to crap like Teen Titans and that CowBoy Bepop poodoo, because not very much people watch that, if they did, u would get games movies loads of stuff.

Then you get all these Crappy Japanese Shows what people love what dont even get translated so people always watch them in Japanese, then they think there the best show even tho no1 watches that crap, then they whine about DBZ being so popular becos there jelous,
