Vader Vs. Dr. Doom

Because the rest of what you said was either 'okay' to what I already said, and the part about Dr. Doom saving his mother. I didn't know that, so why would I argue it? The fact is, it is his LOOK that is based on Doom's character. His personality is different. The Force, the Jedi, redemption via his son, all concepts that come from eastern religion, NOT Doctor Doom. You need to read up on Joseph Campbell and myth before you assume Lucas is so unintelligent that he would need to resort to basing a character on comic books.

Despite 'way cooler and tuffer' being such a strong argument, lol, I still say it depends on how Doom arrives. Vader doesn't need time to prepare to take out Doom, he has the Force. Doom would need preparations and gadgetry to take out Vader. Out of the blue--Vader, time to prepare--Doom. Though I don't think Doom would try to fight him, he'd just be like 'awesome helmet man, where do you shop?'

Seriously, no matter what universe, everything still has to be on neutral terms, otherwise there's no point to the fight if either character's not at their full potential. And true Doom would need some prep, but he doesn't always need that much prep, just enough time to put his bag of shit together. Just makes sure his Doombots are prepped, his ships are ready, last minute modifications to his suit, he's ready to go.

See, that's my point. He wouldn't have time to prepare if it's just an out of the blue fight. They don't know of each other, so Doom can't get his 'bag o' tricks' together. And the moment he made fun of Vader's asthma is the moment he gets his head twisted off.

Don't know why this thread is still going on. Who is the smart and cunning one ? Doom. Who has magics ? Doom. Who is more strongwilled than Vader ? Doom. Who has a much more impressive armor with lots of inbuilt weapons ? Doom. Who has defeated or humiliated godlike enemies ? Doom.

Vader only has the Force (I'm not even going to count the lightsabre as a weapon against Doom), and the Force may be very powerful, Vader has not unlimited access to it, don't care what Vader-fans claim.

Doom still has enough power on hand at any time to take vader...Just look at the fight he had against the entity sent by Hyperstorm

yea....he is powerful enough to feed Galactus indefinitely...thats how the FF handled him, placed him in a different dimension with a hungry Galactus who would just suck energy from him forever

Dr. Doom has to rely on his suit for his powers to work. Without it he is a slapnut. Darth vader has the force at his call. He could crush his throat without even being near him. Then mix in his Jedi Training and Lightsaber. I dont think Doom has a very good chance at winning this one. Vaders reflexes and senses are so much better that it wouldnt even be a fair fight. I mean come on he can block Laser bolts with his bare hands. And plus he can see things before they happen. No contest here. My opinion of course.
