The meaning of life is to live it. Don't worry too much. Enjoy taking calculated risks."Always push the limits, because if you never fail...you'll never succeed."

My point is that what AF said made perfect sense. Life is there for the living... what else is there? Reproduction, all of the emotions, occurences, thoughts etc. we experience during our lifetime are encompassed within this small instruction. Live your life however you want to, share yourself with whoever you want to... we're all going to die, that's the guarantee. But what we make of our lives while we're capable differs between every single individual. You cannot apply mathematics to something so varied, you'll probably make your brain implode if you try 🙄
I was being facetious.
Yes, I believe so.
From where I stand there are few 'morals' which are universal, such as intentionally hurting another being. Exerting power and dominance over another person through violence and abuse (sexual, physical, psychological...etc).
I don't know if im comfortable with the phrase ''abslute'' morals, though.
I will be the first to admit that it would be very difficult for me to comprehend the morality within different cultures of hurting another being - such as for example rape, because such concepts being immoral i have internalised from being raised in a society where such acts are condemned and deemed as immoral.
Because I believe that there are few morals which are universal, I do believe there is a greater meaning to life than what we give it. Ie, there is a greater meaning to life than ''i exist to continue existance'' because, from Lana's response, that would be the fundamental reason for living if you yourself didnt give it a meaning.
What I mean is that all of us on some basic level share this purpose in life. Fundamentaly I believe all beings want and appreciate compassion and kindness in life. All want to be happy and content.
So, I guess absolute morals and subjectivity of life's purpose do on a certain level clash, from where Im standing.
They clash because if the purpose of life was entirely subjective, then some people would give their life a purpose of abusing other people, of exerting power on other beings and that would be ok.
This is however from where I am standing - because I alone believe that there are certain 'acts' which cannot be excused under the flag of any culture or religion.
(I hope that answered the question, and I appologise if it was a bit of a babble, im kind of having hard time expressing what i mean)
The meaning of life is beyond words, beyond concept and belief. It can only be experienced through a quiet mind and one's choices, choices which bring joy, compassion and awe into one's soul and into the world.
All That for only $19.99! But wait! Call within the next ten minutes, and you can get two - that's right, two! - for the price of one! Act now!

Bra-F.ucking-Vo Milla, seriously clapping
I don't think I've ever been witness to one of your 'babbling' rants, so I'm kinda overly impressed. I didn't know you had it in you, bloody well said m'love 😉
Ok, don't get me started!! I've got loads of theories on this one. I'm not cussin' religions here but don't you think people are getting too involved with their own religions? Living by sets of rules etc. I think we have just evolved from nothingness and we have made rules to live and abide by. I consider myself a 'Christian' and therefore have followed these rules and commandments. I can't say I believe in an almighty being who has created us because, basically, where did he stem from?
Just had this conversation with Syren and she has managed to convince me that the only possible explanation of our existence is that we have literally evolved from nothing. I feel religion created by people who were looking for a sort of Utopia, a perfect world...
Brings me to another point; what's going on with all this war and confict between nations over something they don't fully understand? Views please.
Just a quick note, I have spent much time thinking these things over and obviously welcome views from everyone, but I'd appreciate it if people could refrain from going straight for the jugular... thanks 😄
