Edna begins to back away letting her emotions show on her face as she is taken aback by the rage the Jedi is showing. She never thought she would ever say this but she really hoped this Jedi would alm down. If it came to a sabre Duel she wouldn't stand a hope of winning and right now she would rather save her neck than claim this Jedi as fallen.
Argentis takes a step towards you...
... and there is another sound of a sabre igniting behind him. He turns, and you look, and in the doorway is standing Chion, sabre in his right hand. He raises a huge finger on his left hand and wags it slowly in an 'uh-uh' way at the young Jedi.
"Chion!" says Argentis, and you feel a pulsating wave of hate from his mind. "Damn you! Kuylen and myself should have killed you when we first met you! He was a good man. A GOOD MAN! And LOOK at him now!" Chion, unconcerned by the outburst, advances forwards. Argentis turns and sees that you are behind him.
"I... I'm sorry..." he says. "For... what I said..." Then he seems to virtually invert himself on the spot as he pirouttes upwards into the beams of the bar. He then cuts a hole in the ceiling and leaps outwards, virtually before you have had time to blink.
He's a nippy sod, Edna! Now you think about it, actually, the only time you heard Kuylen mention Argentis was saying something about his old padawan being an even better athlete then Kuylen himself was a swordsman. Scary!
Chion looks at all the terrified, cowering people around and smiles another one of his horrible smiles, before turning off his sabre. He then looks at you with a 'What now?' expression. You think. Hard to tell with that weird face of his.
"Idiot!" She says to Chion before leaping up through the hole left by Argenis. She knew it was a futile effort but she had to see if there was any sign of where he went. She certainly wanted to talk to him some more. Yes, he was a very interesting guy. Leaping up onto the roof she yells his name and looks all around in the sistance.
It's getting quite gloomy out now (though the force field around the city obscures the light making it seem dark early), and the earlier light drizzle is starting to grow more heavy.
You stop. Your highly senstive mind feels... it feels someone trying to reach out for you in the Force, to see where you are. to feel your presence...
Edna smiles and attaches the device to her tunic under her robe. 4 hours. That should give her some time to try and sort out a route off this rock anyway. She leaves the shadows and looks up to the rooftops. She reaches out to the force to see if he is still there but she is certain he has gone. Edna heads into the streets once more, this time heading to the space port.
During the heated discussion between Edna and Argentis, Gald had reached the club. He entered just a few minutes after Edna left. He walked in a found Chion, who pointed him towards the spaceport. "I have to go back there again?" Gald scowled, but he and Rura marched back to the spaceport. He spotted a figure fleeting around towards the palace. He sensed the mind of a twisted Force user, not Light but not Dark, on the edge of insanity. He shrugged it off, and walked to the spaceport.
As soon as he reached it, he spotted Edna. He walked up to her. "So, anything new happen? Quam is trying to find his way into the palace."
Quam was up on the rooftops again. Well, moving from rooftop to rooftop. He had been around to gather up some equipment to boost his scanrefs. It's subsurface scanner ops were blazing at full power with the new power converters. Slowly but surely Quam was mapping the the first few metres inside the palace, looking for secret entrances. If there was one, there should be more.
His small wrist computer was analysing the information the scanrefs had taken in earlier. Two more locations and Quam would have finsished his scans. A little longer and the analysis was complete. Meanwhile Quam was scanning the tops of the palace. He had already spotted part of the top structure of the Huttese ship. That ship holds his way out if all others would fail... Or should he use use it as his way into the palace?
The humming of the power converters ceased as a small beep from the scanrefs indicates completion of the scan. Time to move to the next location...
(Argentis is still Light, actually, just well dodgy. And literally speaking Chion wouldn't have still been there, but never mind.)
Quam, the main entrances to the palace are all underground. Ringing the palace is a very complex set of automated security which will register any intruder without the right electronic key that goes near it, and open up with dozens of concelaed turrets and the like. But there ARE some emergency exits on ground level that can be used IF the security is bypassed somehow. They are invisible but you can note the locations.
From here, queeq, you can also see that a large scale cargo operation is going on around the Hutt ship.
Quam read the results and wasn't too happy. He saw the cargo loading area.... with a small enhancement he could just spot the tip of one particular itme on board and a smile came on Quam's face. "It's here", he whispered, "and clear, just as I instructed them."
He then passed his viewer down to spot the emergency exits. Suddenly he saw a couple of workmen escorted by a large force of soldiers leave the palace with several huge canisters. THey ran them out to a bulky transport waiting outside. "Garbage", Quam hissed "that's my way in." He jumped on his speeder and raced close to the noise transport. The soldiers stayed outside. He ran in using an exhaust vent on the other side, and used the dark shadows to get close to the smelly canisters that wer being emptied inside. As the workmen were about to move the canisters back and then out again, Quam made them look the other way by making a few tools fall down near the exit. He used the moment to slide inside, before the canisters were moved out and then back into the palace.
(Small confusion there, as queeq thought the ship was unloading IN the palace. But the principle of using garbage operations as a cover for entering is fine).
At this point then, queeq, having stowed away on one of the garbage trucks which took you underground, you are sliding down an underground garbage chute to one of the trash disposal rooms.
Rex and Edna, you will have to procure the escape route on your own while queeq scouts out the palace.
