I think involving the kids also is kinda pointless.

But its already part of the story.......

Yeah its too late now, i mean't bringing them on in the first place.

Well they wanted to make sure that if they wanted a T5 then they had to introduce the kids in T3.

Oh no, not a T5 surely...

If T4 does overwhelmingly well then yes a T5. 😮‍💨

Neither Stahl and Danes have signed on, which contradicts the first post in which this thread is based on. Arnold's involvement will be minimal, and if they don't get Nick Stahl, back for the sequel, then forget it.

You can't throw a band-aid on a severed limb and expect it to heal.

First off you have to remember something, there really isn’t that much more they can write about in this type of movie. Judgment day has already happened and the next time we see John he will be fighting the war against the Machines. To even think of the T5 is just out right crazy they really wouldn’t have a story to write. I can use my best imagination and still I can’t see this series going any further then one more movie.

There are a lot of people that do agree that they should have never even made a third movie because they had ended it all in T2. When T3 was reborn we were in a different place and time and we were first introduced to John’s wife to be.

I also watched the movie last night and one of you had said that they had mentioned John and his wife having children, I never heard that brought up in the movie, however I am reading the Script at this time to see if I had missed it some where in the movie. If you can name the place in which they talked about it then I need to know that.

Over all, I really do believe that the next movie will in fact be the last, they might very well add a 5th movie in just to end the story of the 4th movie just like they did in the “Matrix” that would be the only way that I could justify a 5th movie.

I have read that T4 is going to be a very action packed movie with a lot of CG incorporated into the movie. The story really hasn’t been released yet so that you can get a understanding of what is going to happen, however I do feel that the picture is going to open up about mid way though the war or towards the end. The final end will be the humans taking back everything that they have lost and start over.

I'm pretty sure they did..

Well eight years ago, i would've gagged at the thought of TWO more terminator sequels after T2.

Ther was nothing left to write about after T2....but they still did it. Just because you can't think of a place to go with it doesnt mean some fat over-paid goober can't. Also, you are probably making the mistake of trying to think of a GOOD plot that would make SENSE. And that just wont happen. Think of a terrible script that makes no attempt to rejoin past events correctly and fit with the others and you have yourself T5.............oh ya and T3!

oy yoy yoy.....i just know they are going to deliver something very crappy

I was sure i read that when danes & stahl signed for T3 they were also then contracted to a T4 if they went on to make one.
So many contradicting stories flying around its hard to know what to believe

How about this little thing called continuity? Why try and milk a fading franchise, and throw some incoherent story that doesn't follow a time line?

"T4" is a mistake, IMO, and is bastardizing Cameron's movies.

There was a Lithuanian newspaper that said Nick Stahl signed on for 2 sequels after "T3". Those crazy Lithuanians.

Well how many sequels out there actually manage to not 'bastardize' the originals. It may not be a great movie, but there'll be plenty to talk about.

So, you don't mind non-canon sequels? "Adding" to a storyline that's already mapped out is a Hollywood tactic. The original laid the groundwork, "T3" pretty much sealed the deal.

Its true, not many of them.

It depends on weither the franchise had planned sequels from its inception or not.

Most of them do, but many of the films get out of their original team's hands. Different scriptwriters, directors, etc.
