Batman finds a way always, just like Michael Jordan did with the Chicago Bulls, he just finds a way, just studying in their fights.
let say they fight like 3 times, each time you can say they battle for so long that they declare it a draw, but each time batman gains more time in studying Captain America like the true Detective he is, the advantage will keep going to Batman's favor as he continues to gain more knowledge on Captain Americas fight! That is the basis of Martial Arts, knowing your enemy! Sooner or later Batman will get enough knowledge to defeat Captain America!!!

You know, I get so tired of everyone thinking their guy can beat Cap in a hand-to-hand fight because of blah, blah, blah... Why is it you assume that Bat Man is the only one who could learn from their confrontations, assuming they would meet in 3 consecutive fights? Cap is one of THE BEST martial artists in the whole freakin' Marvel Universe! Do you seriously think that Cap won't be taking mental notes also? Being a detective has nothing to do with studying your opponent in combat. That is the skill of a fighter and a strategist. And Cap is THE BEST at that there is!

Im not assuming that Batman is the only one that can learn from his past fights, is that he is the BEST AT IT!!!! For goodness sakes they made this "PREP TIME" because of his skills of analyzing and knowing his opponents! He is just the best at it, He beat Lady Shiva for goodness sakes so Captain America can be the best he is, he will be second to Batman and just another victim. Batman will treat him like Bain(spelling). Bain with a brain Captain America is like but his head will be mounted on Batman's wall with the other list of trophies!
Batman is a detective, strategist, tactiction, and thinks while he is battle! Steroids will not save Captain America

So, you're ADMITTING that Bat Man would have his butt handed to him in the first fight, maybe even the second (because you were working off of the presumption they would meet THREE times), but if he could just fight him enough times, then Bat Man would win. Okay, I'll give you that one.
So, we agree then that CAP WOULD KICK HIS A** the first couple of times, but if Bat Man had enough PREP-TIME, he could win. Gotcha.

Something else I found funny. In Avengers vs JLA, a villain by the name of "Prometheus" steps up to Cap and informs him that Cap won't be going anywhere because he has "... just uploaded Bat Man's fighting skills. That'll be more than enough to beat you." Cap responds with, "Oh?" On the next page, as Cap finishes beating the crap out of Prometheus, he says, "Neural chaff. Hypnotic lights. Pre-programmed skills. Try fighting the Wehrmacht, mister - it teaches you focus!"

I have come to see batman's fighting as being one where he gages his opponent and sees what he or she or it can do. From there is either going to there he can make one or two decisions tactical retreat, or stay and finish the job.
Now ask for Captain America and the Batman first bout I can see both the first and second battle coming to a stalemate. But if their frequent bouts persist I do see batman winning because he dose have this nasty habit of trying to knowing every little information about his opponent should they every meet again. I am pretty sure this is why they call him the greatest detective all over the DCU.
Ask for tactical abilities I see Captain America (Well as his name implies as) a captain a team player. While batman is more of general a loner if you will. Who stays behind the line and directs his troops.
My reasoning Captain America spends most of his time leading super hero's or some group into battle, with him in front line. And not the other way round. While batman is the opposite in this matter.
