I don't see how you can say Bat Man is more disciplined than Cap. Cap takes his dedication and devotion to his ideals of freedom and what he and his uniform stand for almost to an obsessive level. All he does is fight and train. How do you figure Bats is more disciplined?

As far as resourcefulness, I like that you gave an edge to Cap, but I would probably call this one a draw. I think both Cap and Bats are probably THE two most resourceful fighters in their respective universes.

NO WAY Bat Man beats Captain America in the strategy department. Every time a group of heroes gather together to fight a common good, everyone unanimously chooses Cap to lead. In Avengers vs JLA, both sides chose Cap to lead the final assault, including Bat Man: "I concur," were his exact words. Even to Cap's initial objections. There is nothing you can say to explain to me how his abilities to analyze a fight and figure out 10 different scenarios ahead of time to combat the situation would suddenly DROP if he is by himself. If he can direct and participate in a fight that encompasses hundreds of friends and foes and lead them to victory, why do you think he couldn't figure out how to successfully beat one man? You can't!

And Bat Man's gadgets are no match for that shield.

In short... Cap wins.

I said bats disciplined cos, he trained his way too olympic atlete physique. Yes Caps is discipline but i don't think Bat will give up till his bone breaks.

As for resourcefulness, i do agree and don't agree with you. Agree cos bat is resourceful but not to the extend of Cap who is a little vast in his resourcefulness when battling. He has a experience in that too.

In the strategy department, Bats edge out. Marvel's stats show Caps Intelligence as 5. Bats is the smarter than that. Both are good strategists but Bats IQ will aid him.

As for "Avengers vs JLA, both sides chose Cap to lead the final assault"...what can we expect!! Caps is capable to lead the whole marvel cohort but Bats is a loner, adviser to Superman in many matters but not a leader himself.
But you shld know, Bats was the guy who plotted to nuetralise him much more powerful team mates.

I did not say who will win cos this match is a tie.

Every Bat Fan keeps saying if the fights continue, if there is more than one, "prep-time", blah blah blah... There are no more fights! The first one is THE one! And Bat Man can not handle Cap! Even Bat Man thinks so!

And no way Bat MAn edges out over Cap in the strategy department. While Bat Man was studying what dirt can be found where in Gotham, Cap was learning how to be a master strategist. While Bat Man was learning all about the criminal mind and how it operates, Cap was learning how to be a master strategist. While Bat Man was running his multi-billion dollar company, broke ass Cap was learning how to be a master strategist! Training for and studying war and combat tactics are pretty much all he does - Captain America is a super SOLDIER! Bat's IQ has nothing to do with split-second decisions on the battlefield. Add to that the additional hindrance of Cap punching him in the mouth, and there is no way Bat Man can out-think or outmaneuver Cap in a fight.

Case closed. Cap wins.

cap is going to be ATTACKING batman, he's not gonna sip some lemonade in the shade and watch batman sit in a dark corner and write things down on a notepad

I said the first random battle as if they meet in an ally or something that the fight is going to be a draw. But if they meet again on a different and decide to continue their squabble this is where you start to see batman winning. Hence and why I said

i side with bat, but it just might end up a tie, the reason i say this is cause even though in persona they are opposited, i have still always considered bat, the dc equivalent of cap or vice versa.

I changed my mind (not that anyone cares but I did anyway), I think its going to be a tie, and even if there is a secvond or third fight it stays a tie.

I think CapJK brought it up some osts ago, Cap beat Prometheus with Batmans fighting ability that changed my mind, Batsy lost to Prometheus the first time (he had the powers of the 100 best martial artists, including Barsy, though) and the second time Batman whiped the floor with him, Batman is just kick ass good (and Cap is to, I know)

Oh by the way the the forehead of Cap with the A was in the Ultimate Universe (Ultimate Cap is so much cooler than the old one)

When I said Cap might win I thought Cap could lift like 10 tons or something now I know he is just the peak of human physical perfection (Batman is too) and that was the only advantage I thought Cap had, so It is a draw all the way (just my opinion don't scream at me please)

When a close battle like this I guess you gotta let the fans decided.........oops they already did! BATMAN WINS!!

I know the fans voting is bad but not in this case, there is no other way to decide it, we will continue to argue with this for 18 more pages

there is no other way of looking at it. Batman is more skilled with more gadgets and.........oh you get the idea, Batman wins over the Captain.

Actually, when these two characters originally appeared, Timely Comics (later to become Marvel Comics), was responding to the popularity of super heroes in general. Captain America was not based on either Bat Man or Superman, but rather is probably the fifth original cocept to come out of the comics' idea men. Superman, Bat Man (and Robin), Prince Namor, The Original Human Torch, Captain America (and Bucky, who WAS a play off of Robin and the other heroes with sidekicks), and Green Lantern. Characters created by no longer existent comic company upstarts were really just various versions of the original hero, Superman, and others that played off of these concepts.

I don't see how you can make Captain America an own Category, he is just a mixture of Batman and Superman with a shield (the shield is cool though)
And what about Flash who is he supposed to be based on?

im not sayin that cap is a COPY of bat, im just sayin that he is the equivalent of bat.

Never thought of Cap America as a copy, his attitude and problem solving skills seem so different to Batman's. Certainly though Captain America has a lot going for him but Batman's intelligence and martial arts training would give him the edge I feel.

batmans intel and martial arts dont surpass cap's, imo cap wins
