The Omega> Is understanble that you have that view of Philosophy. But you also have to acknowledge that philosophy is an academic study devoted to the systematic examination of basic concepts such as truth and also, existence, reality, causality, plus freedom. If the being God is part of the cosmos then to measure him/her would be to measure his physical body. Which as I said earlier you cannot measure that which has no size, shape, or form. But at the same time there are things which cannot be measure. What are those things? How about experience? or existence? We are aware that those things are part of us, but to measure then would be impossible. Same with God which is a being that exists within us (again, this is only a philosophical argument) since we are part of his/her creation. Kinda like a watch and watchmaker.

"Because this being is still considered capable of interacting with physical bodies. Of course, if we assume this being is somehow capable of cloaking its actions, is invisible to science and beyond any measurement – I’m left with the question: Why?"
You're not only one left with the question "Why?" that's what we as humans have been asking for thousands of years. Were do we come from and what is our destiny? I can't just say "Oh well, I'm just a human that evolved and I will die". No, that's not what life is about. Life is about searching and try to find answers to things. Sure, we cannot deny what evolution has brought to our lives. But we can't just settle for what has been discovered so far. There is more! That's why we have curiosity. We want to find answers, is part of our nature to be inquisitive! To say Evolution explains everything is simply accepting the knowledge that has been found so far. Our intuition tells us there is more! I'm the type of person that believes that science isn't EVERYTHING! There is far more about life and human existence. I also don't think that religion is everything there is more than laws and prophecies. There are things that need to be investigated. I keep thinking that that's exactly what God wants us to do! To continue to search and find more about ourselves and the universe we live in. That's why I said God is inside of us. Because to know and understand his will is to understand our life purpose. I continue to think that God intereacts with us. The intereaction as I believe is a mental interaction. Thus, I'm going back to my belief that God is somewhere behind that door in our minds. God is waiting for us to unlock that door and I think he/she is waiting for us. I hope you understand that's how I see things. For me curiosity didn't kill the cat......it actually gave the cat a purpose to look for things. 😉

"Currently I think it is safe to say that God does NOT exist. "
That's fine, I'm not saying believe everything I've told you. But if you feel safe by saying God does NOT exists. Does that mean you're quite satisfied with the knowledge found so far? But since you said "currently" that means that you are willing to listen to more ideas, proofs, or theories about God.

"It would serve to back up the possibility that Homers account was indeed correct, yes. But only when it comes to the story OF a wooden trojan horse. The rest of Homers work may or may not be true …"
Looks like we are getting on the same page! That's good! Now, as for that "may or may not be true thingy" I could agree to a certain extent. Since you and I weren't even alive back then our best bet is to settle for the story and the evidence. Since there is no evidence yet....let's wait a little longer. Let them dig!
To finally quote you:
"Ah, but innocent until proven guilty, right? I will not “believe” in aliens, flying saucers OR divine beings until I’m presented with evidence.
I don’t think this is jumping to conclusions. This is a pragmatic and common sense approach to reality (however we choose to define it). Scholars may do their research, but I cannot help but wonder why it’s taking them so long: That goes for flying saucers, aliens AND divine beings"
Oh boy, this is going to be fun! Yes, all you need is evidence to prove a case. Why are scholars taking so long....hmm I think I got the answer. Since we are talking about the Bible and evidence I think that the evidence is much more important. No matter how the story goes in the bible, what's important is the evidence. Well, I'm currently reading an ILLUMINATING article from Newsweek magazine regarding Ancient Bible relics from the middle east (mostly from Iraq)
I dunno know if Newsweek is availabe in Europe, but this article is VERY interesting, and I feel like sharing it with everyone in this thread. I currently don't have it with me right now (I haven't finished reading) But it won't take me long to finish reading it. As soon as I finish I'll be glad to posted.....so STAY TUNED!

Not really. You can use time to measure both, but experience would be trickier because different people go through different things. All you have to do is set up a scale to give seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, and centuries some sort of weight or value. Calculate the number of hours or minutes you have been alive, and then refrence the answer with the value scale. When I was 13 I wanted to see how many seconds old I was. I forget the answer, but I remember that I thought the number would be larger. Technically, the amount of time you have been alive is your existence.

dont try to explain something you aint sure of
what FE said is exactly what i meant. It's good to know that someone else believes that Jesus is king and is Christian etc etc 😛
" Must we circumcise all boys (Genesis 17:14)"
it doesnt matter any more whether all boys are circumcised or not. If you read the NT, Jews and Gentiles are all alike in the eyes of God, whether the boys are circumised or not. 😉
And i wood also like to award WD and TO with the official 'longest post' awards! 😛 it always amazes me how much you guys can write/say in one go! 😄
