I didnt know where to post this, so imma post it here...

The famous Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas believed that masturbation was a worse sin than rape, incest, and adultery (because in these other sins procreation is a possibility). And Pope Leo IX forbade masturbators from being admitted to sacred orders.

Well in that case I'm going to the deepest depths of hell.

I think thats most of us as well BF 😂

Well at least you wont be alone there. Pretty much 80% of the worlds poplation is gonna be down there.

The most bizzare thing is him suggesting that masturbation is worse than rape. Absolutely terrible.

You pulled that out of your ass.

To have no evil, you'd have to have no humans, and that would throw everything out of balance. That is essentially what you are saying, is it not?

The world was perfectly in balance before humans took over the planet. In fact, it's humans that ****ed it up and threw it off balance.

Humans are the ones without an opposing force.

An ALL powerful god should easily be capable of keeping a universe void of evil in order.

The Catholic Church rescinded that whole masturbation is a sin thing a few years ago, if I remember correctly....

Come ON! (no pun intended) Considering how many little boys they have molested, is there any doubt that they would decide to allow it?

But, let's look at this realistically. Can Man change the laws of God? I suppose that depends on who created god...man...or god.

catholic bible = fake.. made up by babylon

The Catholic bible? As in the one that was actually created just after Jesus died? As in the one that has been around for 2000 years?

and how do you mean Babylon? Babylon as in "those freaky Catholics"...or as in "those FREAKY catholics"

?

yeah right! 🙄 if so, why did he say the world was a square?
and it's easy to claim this... point me to WHERE he talks about this (without explaining the laws and such behind it of course, cause they didn't knew anything about them at that time)

About the Voice thing: why would Satan answer your prayers with scripture? why would he lead you to do Good? if in fact it was Satans telling ya?
Why would God also answer people using Sunday School teachers, Preachers: during preaching or teaching?? they don't know what you are asking God, but the answer comes, if in fact it wasn't God, why would Satan give you these answers?

Why wouldn't he? easy to lure some dumb sheep away then
who says he leads you to do good? you? who says he isn't fooling you into thinking you're doing good?
why do you think it's god answering people with sunday school? you yourself?? or is it that "voice" again that can be as said either being you going insane (people got litterally burnt for less) or the devil?

For your first mistake I ain't a Bible quoter. I repeat so that you can understand better "I ain't a Bible Quoter" Do you see me go around posting verses from the Old Testament or the New testatment? If so go throught ALL my posts and quote me on that. Are you under the assumption that I'm some religious fanatic? Nope not at all so far I only posted thing that are best to my knowledge.

I can come and go when I please? Really? Do I need permittion to posts my thoughts? Anyways before we pull each other hairs out let's me say that the book of Number in the Old Testament (don't ask me which verse because I'm not a bible quoter) does have a family tree which describe a bloodline from father to son. That's a good start! It shows that there was some kind of Kingship in the Hebrew culture.

[edit note] Your tone wasn't Nasty but you want some clarity? Go read the OT yourself. Then go talk to a priest or Rabbi and ask them. They have better answers than me.

So, you bible quoter, you... 😛
I don't check every persons post in a thread, but to answer your question... I wouldn't think you're a religious fanatic... just religious
(weren't you the one that PMed me that about choice?)

if you want to go technical... Raz can deceide if you need permission to post, he can chose to hold all your posts and clear them first.
I do not think I ever disagreed with there being a mentioning of a king... if I remember my paper I made on the power of the church at the end of the 13th century, the first mentioned king was Nebukadnezar? (don't kill me on the spelling)

and thank you, but I already read the OT; last time was this year in august and I had quite some talks with priests already... no rabbi's in my neighbourhood.

Arachoidfreak> Ok, good to hear! I’d say it was more the smilie-happy ignorant tone of voice directed at you before you exploded that would’ve annoyed me. Something else entirely is ASSUMING even knowing something about the history of the people we discuss with here.
I may make educated guesses concerning people I talk to often… But still…

Ytaker> “Luckily, orders from God are often accompanied by miracles like rods turning into snakes, cloth getting wet, and the the ground staying dry (on a rainy night), and infertile women giving birth.”
That’s not supposed to be taken literally, right? Because IF it is, then God DOES indeed intervene when he pleases – and can the conclusively be deemed evil.

“Does he ever do that during the bible? The antichrist does it, but does satan? I'm not sure if it's a legal action (e.g. it would force God to stop him.).”
Then again God would be intervening… See above.
How would a planet without evil NOT be in balance? I happen to think life is most pleasant when there IS no evil in it, thank you very much.

” Advancing science is not a Job for God.” Then why do Creationists exist?

” This is a unique bit, different from all the rest.” Says YOU! Why is it different? Some human obviously wrote – a jew no less – so stop talking crap.

WD> Technically good and evil does not create balance. That would entail that every time I did something biblically ”good” I should rush out and commit something equally ”evil.” It does not make ANY sense… so Retarded God it is 😄

FE> ” why would Satan answer your prayers with scripture?” So you can go around judging people? Hm? So you would BELIEVE it was God? Hm?

BF> 😆

Are you speaking as in Scientific terms? Because if that is the case there is no balance in the universe. From a spiritual perspective good and evil can be balance. By universally, I'm speaking of humans and other beings (if they exist) in other worlds. Yes, this may sound too New age for you, but if you examine the Yin Yang philosophy is a fascinating thing to read. That is of course If you consider your self spiritual person.

yerssot> I never pm you. And thank you for not labeling me as a Bible quoter.

now I'm lost who did it 😑

Yerssot> Wellll… Some people are hearing voice… and some people are getting PM’s…
(Nods sagely).

Some people are hearing voice… and some people are getting PM’s…
and we die by blood.............. valhall is closer now

*looks up* he likes me, he truely likes me 😱😊

pffff, I stick to my comment... people got burnt for less in the middle ages 🙄

Yes and now it is pay back time

*gets out claws*
Bring them on 😠

Why not build a time machine and go back in time to find out.

How can YOU be sure the Bible is really the Word of God?

A number of facts make it reasonable to believe the Bible is accurate and reliable. Jesus, the Son of God and the greatest spiritual authority of all time, attested to the accuracy of the Bible, even to the "smallest letter or stroke."(Matthew 5:18) Archaeology has affirmed its historical accuracy. Biblical manuscripts number in the many thousands and, in some cases, date less than 30 years from the actual occurrence of the events that they describe – giving us by far the best attested historical document civilization possesses.

The Bible’s amazing unity – even though composed of 66 books written over a period of 1,500 years by more than 40 authors from widely different cultures and parts of the world – attests that there was divine superintendence over its writing. The Bible not only claims to be the Word of God, (2 Timothy 3:16) but through the minute fulfillment of prophecy and the miraculous transformation of individuals (even skeptics) who have believed its message, it has proved itself over and over to be exactly that.

The bottom line is whether you will choose to believe the Bible is God’s Word or not. Moreover, if you choose to believe, will you obey what it tells you to do? True ‘saving faith’ is shown by a growing desire to please God out of love. Jesus stated, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me …"(John 14:21a) A true believer will demonstrate love towards God as he chooses (with God’s help) to bring increasing numbers of areas of his life into obedience with what the Bible teaches.
