the hell are you talking about? People are screaming for gays to be in comics "equally" and i'm all for that? But to say that they can ONLY be in roles that makes them appear to be great people? How fair is that? What you are asking for is a double-edge. You want gays to be included, but make sure they are all nice and always do the right thing???? No way, if gays are in, there needs to be variety, just like straights, both bad and good...
what i'm saying is that if you look at hollywood movies, gays are either incredibly effeminate and serve the role of comic relief or are sick, unsympathetic villians for the most part. it's ok to have variety just as long as it's not a stupid stereotype that's played over and over again.
as for the whole collossus thing, well, the ultimate books have characterization problems in general and are just wrong to me. everybody seems like a hammed up poochie. I half expect wolverine to pop out of the sewer with a pizza yelling "cowabunga dudes!".
In the end, it's a frickin' funny book. if you're so offended or overtly interested in who's porking who, go buy and archie book and check out the tension between archie, jughead, and mr. wetherbe.
The great thing about having homosexual characters in comics is that fans who freak out at the idea of homosexuality have it jammed in there faces:
Ultimate X-men is a case in point, its a good X book and the fans who cant deal with colossus have to face up to the fact that the people they admire who make the damn book think its fine.
i think it is fine ult colossus is gay but i didnt know he was. what is the big deal with gay characters there is a large amount of gay people in society today. hell your best friend or maybe even your young enough not to know. there isnt a porblem in my mind some people say its gross, well its comics they dont show anything ya know. gays are people too and should be treated as such in comics and reality.

Homosexuals really just dont have a place in comics the only reason they would be put in comics anyways is for political correctness. Nobody wants to see peter parker making out of harry osborn. 😠
Homosexuality has a place in any medium that's trying to mirror the real world. Homosexuality occurs in every genre from novels to movies to Broadway musicals; I'm glad that it's finally being recognized by the comic industry. This has nothing to do with political correctness; Hellblazer and Preacher both have homosexuality in parts of their stories, and if you think the authors of those stories are worried about political correctness, you've never read either series.
"snakehead, be fair. NO ONE wants to see Harry Osborne kiss Anyone. what the hell is with that guy's hair anyway?"
I'm sure somewhere there are some girls that do. Bit of a generalisation there.
I wouldn't care if he did or not. Doesn't bother me if it's story and character relevant. Now if it were Psylocke and Black Cat........I would likely buy the comic.

They keep dropping hints about Colossus being gay, but never giving any concrete evidence about it. He acted outraged when Northstar came onto him. Although that could be just a cover and he's not ready to come out of the closet or whatever. I don't care if he is or not, he's still Colossus, woop de doo if he'd rather go out on a date with Northstar than Storm. He's still an ass-kicking tractor loving communist powerhouse.

I don't see why not... After all they did change Fury from a white guy into a black guy (and I have to say it works really well, like him better than the old one). If they think it can work, let them make him gay, only time will tale if it will work or not (so far it doesn't look good, but hey I could be proven wrong)....
