Well...yeah. 😕 Did you think they were going to recast him? This is an episode set when the Black Rock arrived, so MIB and Jacob are the main people on the island.

Wow! Great episode tonight! Excellent job by Nestor Carbonell (richard). Finally we know what the islnad is!

I know I'm probably wrong but I feel like the island is/was Eden. And Unlocke is/was the snake/Devil!

So the island is hell?

I don't believe it to be a literal Hell, but the closest thing MIB/Jacob could associate it to Richard for him to understand.

Hell???? Interesting...

Maybe I misunderstood but the way I saw it was that the island is the gateway between hell and earth. As long as the island is there hell cant cross over. Jacob is like the gatekeeper. He decides who leaves and who stays. I wonder if how he got that job.

Out of all the castaways, Locke seemed like the best candidate to take over Jacob. He was the one that truly loved being in the island.
