oh ho, i was wondering

IT IS HUGE!, so much stuff, so many stories, that can never fit into a film

much less 20 films

heck Luthien and Beren would take more than one movie to complete

alot of it could probably be taken out so that only the big story about the wars with Morgoth is left

and then people will complain just like they did for LOTr

OMG they will complain WORSE.

The hobbit is getting made no doubt after King Kong is finished im sure he is going to start on it. I dont know what you guys are talking abou the only person that could make this movie is Peter Jackson it would be a crime to let anyone else make it. Ian McKellen is very ready to make it too. So im sure he will be playing Gandalf that would also be a crime if he didnt. I really hope they have the same Elrond.
Id even love to see Tour and the Fall of Gondolin, The Story of Beren and Luthien or any of the Silmarillion stories on film but i sincerelly doubt that would ever happend very few have read these stories and theey would probally be too hard to put to film.
But as for the The Hobbit i cant wait i have a gut feeling its going to be made im sure of it.
They are talking about making it into a TV series personally i would like a movie better.

wouldn't want anyone else doing it. jackson would probably do it better than anyone else could.

Well thats what i heard .. that the Silmarillion will come out.. i hope it does!! The book's amazing!! but.. i just hope (if they do turn it into a movie) they wont change anything!!

p.s. can u guys send me a pic of the Black Numoreans horse thats is in the ROTK extended version?? 🙂

Tom Bombadil, as wonderfull as he was, wasn't essential to the story. so he could be taken out. and the movies are long enough as it is without trying to keep everything from the book in there. it could have been worse.

How to put thousands of book pages in a movie that does not take 45 days to see. I think PJ did an incredible job with the movie. I'm only dissapointed by the way Saroumane died. But I guess it's pretty much the same than in the book. (Grim kills Saroumane and then gets hit by an arroe).

If the hobbit is made, i doubt i'll go and see it if he uses diff actors i.e.some random for bilbo. Or if he does it with the whole thing exa was saying with sam merry pippin etc.

it'd be cool if they had some of the same actors. but some new ones would be ok. and Sauruman should have died the way he was supposed to.saruman

they could make a silmarillion movie, maybe not on everything that went down, but its still a good book, and if done right it could be a great movie

i've read the silmarillion, although it would be great to see a huge movie adaptation of the book (which wont happen), but i'd like to see certain stories adapted to movie

It's too big to make into a movie, you can't have one little story without telling the story as a whole. Or it wouldn't make sense to the the audience and result in slating of the good name of "The Book of Books" and i at least hope it never happens 🙄
