Copycat. 😠

Batman could win....

...in a game of Mortal Kombat...with a gameshark...

This isn't a prep time match, and batman wont have his batmobile and tanks etc. It only makes you seem that much more despertae for him to win.

There is a difference between 'preptime' and being prepared. If we had 'preptime' as a stipulation, it'd mean Batman gets time to study Spider-Man, train for a fight with him, set up a battlefield, and equip himself exactly to only meet the situation Spidey presents.

Batman is always prepared for most types of situations. Does he carry a chunk of Kryptonite with him everywhere he goes in case Superman goes insane? I doubt it, but that's a unique and rare situation. Spider-Man, however, is not a unique nor rare situation. He's fought people more agile than him, fought people who are stronger than he, fought people faster than he, ALL without having 'preptime' and won.

Just because Batman has no 'preptime' does not mean he is equipmentless or unable to come up with a plan.

I don't agree that Batman will win every time, but he won't get 'crushed' like everyone believes he will. Or else Spider-Man wouldn't have as much trouble with someone like the Shocker as he does; the Shocker's had Spidey at his mercy before, but let him go.

"He's fought people more agile than him, fought people who are stronger than he, fought people faster than he, ALL without having 'preptime' and won."

So has Spiderman. However, Batman doesn't fall into any of those categories.

Batman has trouble with guys like Bane and Killer Croc. Spiderman is stronger than both those guys.

Who has Batman fought that's as agile and coordinated as Spiderman?

The Penguin?

You're twisting my argument around. I didn't say he's fought people exactly like Spider-Man, but people far stronger and more agile than himself. That wasn't even an argument as to how he'd win, but how he wouldn't be "Oh no! I am completely lost!" as many would suggest.

Didn't mean to twist anything around there....
Batman is never "lost" or without his wits.
I also believe that he's not stupid.
If he's fighting Spiderman out in the streets,
out of the blue, once he truly realizes what
he's up against, he's not just gonna stand
there and duke it out......he's not stupid.
Bats would retreat and do what he does best....
.....think and prepare!!!!

Leaving the battlefield results in a DQ. Spidey Wins!

I agree that's what he would do, but unfortunately, this is a no-prep, first-meet fight, so Bats can't retreat and prepare for another go. Despite the fact that he wouldn't be as effective without the retreat/prep-time, I still say he could win.

A Batman win is POSSIBLE, but not likely.
Spiderman's crazy-ass combination of powers would
neutralize most of Batman's skills and weopons.
Batman's probably my favorite character,
but I hate when people attribute things to him that
are crazy like:
"BATMAN ALWAYS HITS HARDER THAN SPIDERMAN"

To me, that ruins the character.
He's human and vulnerable in the face of super-powers and he knows it.
That's why he prepares contingency plans against everyone.

Good post.

You can never fight someone quite like spidey and I clearedthat up already.

Mercilous might have had bad wording, but what he said was essentially true. Batman can deal better damage because he knows how. Spider-Man is a brawler - he tosses people around and just beats on them. Batman, however, knows how to fight and use technique and whatnot. Batman can use pressure points, counter-joints, bone breaks, etc., and they will work. Breaking a bone or joint or whatever is all about leverage, which Jigsaw, who isn't superhumanly strong at all, recently showed by breaking Spider-Man's arm. He broke Peter's arm without any superhuman strength at all.

Fighting Spiderman is difficult for nearly anyone.
Even if Spidey can't hurt you, he's a b*tch to try and fight.
and he's a scientific genius in his own right.....
He's frequently beaten far more powerful people just by
using his scientific smarts on the fly....
like sandman, juggernaut, that vibranium dude, etc.

i'm not sure if that was jigsaw who broke peter's arm....
whoever did it, did it with one hand.
peter can lift 15 tons. unless you're stronger,
you're NOT gonna just break his arm with one hand.
and peter was fighting at the time with an army of villians.
i'd say his muscles were tensed and flailing at everyone.
if it was jigsaw, maybe the writer didn't do his homework....
....which has been happening a lot in Marvel these day.

It was Jigsaw. The writer said so and said he did so with leverage.

Yeah well, Spiderman and a few others were also fighting 50 villains at the same time.

You act like he's just going to hold his arm out for Batman.

No, but for someone who is extremely adept at hand-to-hand combat, it isn't too hard to get a hold. And don't bring up the fact that Spider-Man 'is just too fast', because it's already been brought up that Spidey gets tagged by non-powered humans plenty of times.

I wouldn't say he's been tagged by non-powered humans plenty of times.

Every time I see Spiderman fighting a human it's usually four or five thugs and the fight lasts about two panels.
