In that scene, Spider-Man came off looking more heroic than Batman. So the writers had to do something to balance the scales.

Well, he doesn't have superspeed. He'd have time to take something out of his belt. The only way that your arguement is sustained is if the start fighting like 10 feet away. Say they square off with each other like 50 feet away. That would definitely give Batman enough time to pull something out of his belt. Although it'd only be effective if he could actually HIT Spider-man with something from his belt. That's another story.... 😉

Actually Spidey does have superspeed, he isn't quicksilver fast but it is superspeed nonetheless.

Well one of Batmans villains is Mr.Freeze, so I'm sure his costume is better insulated. That and Rhino doesn't punch Spidey in the middle of a freezing blizzard with winds howling by.
Also, look at the scan. Spidey is saving Batmans ass from falling head first. On top of that, he tumbles back and falls into the snowbank up to his waist. His body is probably sore from all the cold.
That Hulk fight was PIS. Hulk can take missile and tank fire without flinching but a kick hurts him? Him fighting Superman is what I was refering to in my post. Superman has exploitable weaknesses like his superhearing makes him more vunerable to hypersonics, him being weakened by kryponite is another example. He knows all about Superman so being Batman he finds ways to counter. With Spider-Man he doesn't have that luxury. He doesn't know what Spider-Man is capable of.
And just look at how he fares against people who don't even have powers. Look at Hush, Red Hood and Prometheus. All normal persons who beat Batman in straight up fights. Spider-Man is 15x faster, about 20x stronger and has 40x Bats reflexes plus webbing and spider-sense. How can Batman win against that?
I'm not going overboard with the abilities, I have the Handbook and the info has been reinforced in the comics. This is even before his upgrades so he is even stronger and faster now.
If you're saying that a pressure point from a normal person can do anything to the Hulk then you should read some Hulk comics. Besides when I read it I got the impression that Batman kicked Hulk so hard that he gasped and breathed in the gas. First off gas has been shown to have barely any effect on the Hulk because of his super-strong lungs and second there is no way Batman should be able to inflict any sort of physical pain on the Hulk.
But instead of agruing just pose me a scenario in which in a straight up confrontation Batman beats Spider-Man. You'll find you probably can''t w/o inserting either CIS/PIS or some plot device
