Eww... Billy Bob Thornton. I don't get how animal, mineral or vegetable would go for him let alone someone as hot as Angelina Jolie.I know about the high testosterone causing baldness. As for why homosexuality is maintained even without conferring any beneficial effects could simply just be polygenic recessive refuge.
this idea is questionable a mosaic complexes tend to confer something i.e. Reheads appeared to have little reason, lots of disadvantages few advantages, however the melanin level compex may be linked in red heads to the ability to release painkillers.
So why are gays useful?

I wonder, If homosexuality is genetic... why did it come about? there is no evolutionary plus to be gained by homosexuality... as you can't reproduce doing it....
Because, to assume that evolution has a "purpose", is much like assuming that god created the world. A purpose implies an end result. And evolution has no end result. Evolution, and all the possiblities that it involves, are limitless.
Now, if the purpose of evolution is to promote survival in the natural world, then homosexuality doesn't effect the survival of the species...as far as future generations are concerned. However, a majority of those incidents where homosexuality has been observed in other animal species, it has been in populations that are no longer concerend with teh continuation of the species, such as those found in zoos...or those found in very large populations a particular species that live under unrealistic conditions. So, if the swans on the animal reserve that were observed to have entered a life long relationship...no longer need to produce to further the species.
It's kind of like nature's response to contentment is to trigger diversity. This is why the numbers of human homosexuals have risen since the beginning of our sepecies.
And, comparing animals in zoos to humans in prison, there for furthering the notion that it is "environment" or "learned behavior", that is not the case. Humans, unlike most animals, have a huge sex drive...which has come about since we evolved into upright, bipedal creatures.
Wow, I feel like that was the most confusing post...EVER!

Yes thes possibilities are called mutation, they need the urge to reproduce wit the opposite sex in order to survive (at least in higher organisms), most mutations are dead ends.
Whats your point?

No, you have missed my point.
As I have said to you before, I have no intentions of addressing you. DO NOT bait me by responding to anytihg I have to say.

But you have addressed me I was merely pointing out the simplistic nature of your understanding of genetics. 🙂

Evolution has a purpose.... and its the opposite of the bible view god created the earth... My personal belief is that god created the universe.. and put in it everything needed to create life... but never created the worlds....
Evolution is survival of the fittest... now modern day socialism means that survival doesn't mean you need to be fit... same with your sexual preference. Evolution is now hampered by our socialistic views...

You'll notice that I put purpose in quotations. My reason for doing so, is that a >"purpose"< implies that there is an end result. Which there is not. The reasons for evolution are for the adaptation of a species, and it's survival. As I stated before, once "survival" is no longer a priority, then diversity kicks in, as a form of further evolution.
This is where my unconventional definition of god comes from.

Evolution not knows it has to stop... its not a switch someone can turn off...
We need to continue evolving, out current state is still plagued with inperfections... I would love to know that my genetic family will one day be part of a perfect race... not some freak show just surviving...."
